UFC 182 results: Donald Cerrone continues streak, tops Myles Jury on scorecards

LAS VEGAS – As Donald Cerrone stood over Myles Jury in the closing seconds of the fight, he wound up and then unleashed a series of soccer kicks to the legs of his downed opponent, as if driving home a point he’d already spent nearly 15 minutes making: You’re not ready for this.

Donald Cerrone Unhappy with UFC 182 Myles Jury Fight: 'What a Joke' |

In the lead-up to the fight, Jury reportedly had some choice words for his UFC 182 opponent. Cerrone is known for never putting on a fight that’s less than exciting, and he wanted to make Jury eat his words. UFC 182 results: Evan Dunham cruises in decision win over Rodrigo Damm

UFC 182 results: Cody Garbrandt finishes Marcus Brimage in impressive debut

In the fast-paced second and third rounds, Garbrandt by and large pushed the action, with the game Brimage hanging in there and landing counters. Longtime ESPN anchor Stuart Scott dies at 49

The confines of a studio could not hold Stuart. Before the millennium arrived, he was covering the MLB playoffs, the Final Four and the NBA Finals. He wrote for ESPN The Magazine and went one-on-one in interviews with Tiger Woods and Michael Jordan. Once the century rolled over, he did pretty much everything, hosting game shows and New Year's Eve specials, sitting down with President Obama, and becoming the guiding light for NBA and NFL coverage. There were a few downs mixed in with the ups, though. He suffered an eye injury while trying to catch a pass at a New York Jets mini-camp, necessitating surgery that put him out of work for a few months. His marriage to Kimberly Scott, the mother of their daughters, came to an end. And on Nov. 26, 2007, while covering a "Monday Night Football" game between the Steelers and Dolphins, Stuart had to have an emergency appendectomy that revealed a malignancy requiring additional surgery.

UFC Chief Content Officer Marshall Zelaznik on Saturday revealed that the promotion’s digital streaming service will increase its archived content to include more than 13,000 individual bouts and 6,500 hours with the acquisition of the following promotions: Cage Rage , Extreme Challenge , XFO , UCMMA , HookNShoot , TKO , King of the Cage and Pancrase . Click here to support Bruiser's Medical bills by Denny Prokopos

On New Years Day, I was spending the day with my fiance and my dog was at home with my parents. Around 6pm, I got a call that my dog Bruiser got out of the house and was hit on Skyline Blvd at 40-50mph. Thankfully my brother and my father got to the dog right away and were able to rush him to an emergency vet in Daly City, which allowed him to get immediate attention. His skull was fractured, he had to receive stitches on his back leg, his whole body is bruised and he has large cuts on his face and legs. Because of the impact of the crash to his body, his heart is having ventricular contractions and he is not able to smell due to his fractured nasal cavity. He cannot stand up at all, go to the restroom (he has a catheter), or eat or drink on his own; it is administered through an IV. So far, he has been hospitalized for 3 days which has cost $7,500.00. Bruiser will need to stay hospitalized until he is able to eat, drink fluids on his own and walk. At this point his healing is going to take a lot of time due to the massive impact his body took. With your generous donations, I will be able to keep Bruiser hospitalized to receive the treatment he needs to recover.

Cody Garbrandt: Kicking Ass and Keeping Promises - FIGHT! Magazine News

“It’s amazing,” Garbrandt said. “Some of my fights he couldn’t make because he was really sick with the medicine and stuff, but I think the last three fights he came to and was at my fight. It’s just good to know that he’s there after all he went through. It keeps me calm just knowing he’s in the audience cheering me on. After every fight, his dad tells me his hands are beet red and his voice is gone from screaming, ‘Kick him, Cody! Get him!’ And it’s good to have that.

UFC 182 Results: Jones vs. Cormier PPV cut short after poor show pacing

Instead, the broadcast went straight to their Harley Davidson ad and right down to the credits. It IS Happening Here: “Permanent Gun Confiscation” Ordered After Veteran Sought ‘Voluntary’ Treatment for Insomnia

At the heart of this issue here is not only how “mental health” designations are now being used to restrict gun rights, but how the medical profession is now breaking the doctor-patient privilege to become an informant against the patient, and reporting them to an expansive government and law enforcement database. This is taking place without the knowledge of the patient, or even the right to find out what is written in the record, and, further, it is happening without any criminal act or wrongdoing taking place or even being suspected.

Jon Jones Doesn’t Want to Talk About Heavyweight, but Would Fight Cain Velasquez in a Heartbeat |

Reach and hight is a big advantage fool even on the inside i know this cause im long and tall just like jj and its much easier fighting shorter guys. On the inside you can use your forearms to creat space and get your pnuches in. Reach and hight is obviously jj best tools of offense. Im going off the fact that jj said he would move up to hw to fight the right person and would fight cain in a hartbeat… who is shorter than him with much shorter reach. I dont think jj would fight someone like ‘evereem or werdum. I dont mean scared like hes scared of a person but scared of a loss and not being called the goat just like floyd mayweather. Im not a fan boy that speaks for fighters im just going off what i hear and i especially did not See jj say he would fight ANYONE who is heavyweight champion.. he also had the most trouble with some who was tall and had good reach in gustafsson but did not have the huge power of a hw.

"Anderson is the guy I've been looking up to since I was 18, 19 years old. I've studied his fights, and I really want to model my career after him," he said about Silva, who has long been considered as MMA's best. "Anderson has won so many world titles and you can't discredit what he's done. That being said, with all due respect, I believe I've had the toughest resume in the history of the sport. I've fought so many tremendous athletes."

DUNHAM vs. DAMM Local lightweight favorite Evan Dunham snapped a three-fight losing streak against Brazilian veteran Rodrigo Damm , taking a three-round unanimous decision for his first win since February of 2013. All three judges saw it 30-27. After an aggressive start from Damm, Dunham slowed the Brazilian down considerably with an accurate striking attack highlighted by several flush shots from the Las Vegan. Damm was more competitive in round two, but Dunham still controlled the pace and location of the bout behind his crisp stand-up game. Bloodied and behind on the scorecards, Damm put up a courageous effort in the final five minutes, but he was unable to stop Dunham’s momentum enough to get back in the fight. With the win, Dunham ups his record to 15-6; Damm falls to 12-9.

The video lasts only a few seconds, a snapshot of misery and heartbreak in which you never even see the face of the man who’s doing all that suffering.

Jon Jones interacts with fans in MGM Grand arena before title fight

While Jones is set to fight Daniel Cormier in the main event of the evening, the champion decided to stray from typical pre-fight behavior of virtually every fighter by leaving the backstage dressing room area to interact with the crowd. Most fighters elect to spend pre-fight time so close to competition warming up, relaxing with team members or some combination of the two.
