Horodecki again scored a takedown in the opening minute of the third round, and Huete showed he was incapable of escaping from the position. A referee standup got Huete to his feet, but Horodecki put right back on the floor. They were brought to their feet gain with one minute left, but Horoedecki held his own as Huete tried to unload the kitchen sink and cruised to a decision win, 30-27 on all three cards.

Bellator 128 Results: Joe Warren Unifies Bantamweight Championship | MMAWeekly.com

Warren did enough striking in the final round to set up his takedowns and keep the fight where he could keep control. He slipped up briefly early in the round when, from an odd position with both fighters grounded and shoulders to the mat, he landed a kick to Dantas’ head. Warren was handed a stern warning for the transgression, but was not deducted a point.

Ebola Outbreak Planned Years Ago! What Do You Think The Millions Of “Coffin Liners” Are For?

The “SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION” section of the patent document also clearly claims that the U.S. government is claiming “ownership” over all Ebola viruses that share as little as 70% similarity with the Ebola it “invented”: “Do you understand how much we are being lied to by the media on this topic? The work on an Ebola virus, sanctioned by the holder of the patent for the vaccine, the NIH), has been ongoing since 2004 with clinical trials in 2006. This explains why the CDC and the NIH are bringing Ebola patients into the country to treat. The moment that an Ebola patient crosses the U.S. border, they become the intellectual property of the CDC, NIH and Bill and Melinda Gates! How can we not believe that this is the Hegelian Dialectic run amok in a case of problem creation, solution to the problem and reaction to the problem?”

After his sudden release from UFC, Jake Shields finally set to make his WSOF debut

There was a modest outcry when Jake Shields was released by the UFC this spring, especially among the sporting types who believe in records. Shields had effectively won four fights in a row before he fought Hector Lombard at UFC 171 in Dallas. He lost that one via decision in what was considered a pretty dull affair. But losing to Lombard, as plenty of people have realized, is nothing to be ashamed of. Nor was staying conscious through the whole thing. Shields’ release seemed to revolve around some broader trends…such as winning nondescript decisions over otherwise dynamic fighters; such as the threat of knocking off would-be contenders; such as frustrating the harmony of the pecking order; such as boring the spectator with his superb grappling and his even more superb ability to nullify. Those were the hunches, but there were other factors, too. Shields’ win over Ed Herman at UFC 150 was overturned into a "no contest" for failing a drug test. And most of his UFC decision victories weren’t overly decisive. He won three by split decision. In fact, he hasn’t finished anybody since 2009.

The Serial Striking of Rory MacDonald | FIGHTLAND

The problem was that MacDonald's bout with wrestle-banger, Jake Ellenberger made narcoleptics of us all. Rory Mac showed everything his fans had feared would occur as a result of hanging around Tristar—he learned to throw a snapping jab like Georges St. Pierre, and how to time it in the middle of his opponent's attempts. MacDonald could break a man's will to attack before that man had even made a move. Unfortunately, MacDonald then decided he didn't need anything else. For fifteen minutes it was obvious that Jake Ellenberger wasn't getting past the jab, and would continue to oblige by jerking his face into it, but MacDonald did nothing to capitalize.

World Series of Fighting 14 Results: Play-by-Play & Updates

Jake Shields vs. Ryan Ford Round 1 Kyle Cardinal is the referee for tonight’s welterweight main event. Ford takes the center of the cage to start the bout, extending his left arm and swinging it around in front of Shields while keeping his right hand cocked. The first jab from Ford sends Shields to the ground, but the American pops back to his feet immediately. Shields tries a long single-leg, easily sprawled on by Ford, who puts another jab on Shields’ face. Shields gets in on a better double-leg near the fence, pulls Ford to the ground but can’t keep him there. Ford takes the outside position as the welterweights clinch on the fence, but Shields hits an outside trip and moves straight to full mount. Shields locks down Ford’s left arm and drops right hands which draw a warning from referee Cardinal for hitting the back of Ford’s head. Shields is warned for grabbing the fence, too, but now he releases to sink in both hooks as Ford gives up his back. They sit down at the base of the fence, where Shields switches to a body triangle to secure the back mount and continue peppering with right hands.

Titan FC signs Miguel Torres, makes debut vs. Desmond Green on October 31

It's been a dramatic fall from the top for Torres (43-7), whose reign of dominance at 135 lbs ended at the fists of Brian Bowles, who knocked him out in 2009. Once 37-1, Torres is 6-6 in his last 12, but he has compiled 3 straight wins on the way to his Titan FC signing. In addition to this MMA bout, Torres will compete in a Legacy FC kickboxing event in January 2015. Green (11-3) fought under the Bellator banner 5 times, including advancing all the way to the season 10 FW tournament final before losing to Daniel Weichel by submission. He was promptly released from the promotion as Bellator re-shuffled its roster following the end of the Bjorn Rebney era.

With motivation back, Jake Shields wants another belt for collection at WSOF 14

I think it would be very unlikely (for him to tap me), but to look past it would be stupid.”

WSOF Canadian Champ Ryan Ford Relishes Opportunity to Fight Jake Shields | MMAWeekly.com

I wish shields would sit in his guard for the first 3 rounds in. 5 rounder and atleast attempt to finish on the ground in the last two. I understand why he just takes top controls in a 1-1 or 2-2 fight; his check would double with a win, but in a wsof squash match I’d like to see atleast one submission attempt after he has the scorecards locked.

WSOF's Matt Baker foiled robbery, gave up 73 pounds in a week's work

On paper, Matt Baker , who faces Cody Krahn in a preliminary fight on Saturday's World Series of Fighting 14 show in Edmonton, Alberta, looks to have his back against the wall. Yet, that's nothing compared with two situations he was put in a few months back. Baker (10-7) is 0-3 in WSOF competition, but in his last fight, he took one for the team. Usually a middleweight, he moved up two weight classes to face a huge heavyweight in former UFC fighter Tim Hague . Baker and Hague each had their opponents drop out shortly before the fight. Hague cut weight to make 266, and Baker said that when Hague went into the cage, he was 279 pounds. Baker went into the fight at 206 pounds, just enough to qualify to be a heavyweight.  "I agreed to it, I just wanted to step up," Baker said. "A big promotion like World Series offers you a fight, I'm not going to turn it down. I'm not a guy out there padding my record." But it was a week before the fight where he had all kinds of thoughts racing through his head when his home was broken into. "The first thing I thought is that I'm a professional fighter, and I don't know what I'm allowed to do," Baker said about the burglary attempt.

Injuries Result in Marcus Brimage-Jumabieke Tuerxun Matchup at UFC Fight Night Sydney

Marcus Brimage has a new opponent in his sights. | Photo: Dave Mandel/Sherdog.com A pair of injuries has altered the Ultimate Fighting Championship ’s November lineup. Erik Perez , who was scheduled to face Marcus Brimage at UFC 180 , and Patrick Williams , who was booked against Jumabieke Tuerxun at UFC Fight Night “Rockhold vs. Bisping,” have both been forced to withdraw from their bouts. As a result, Brimage and Tuerxun will square off in Sydney on Nov. 8. The loss of Perez, a native of Monterrey, Mexico, is perhaps the most significant, as UFC 180 marks the promotion’s first-ever trip South of the Border. Williams, meanwhile, was set to make his sophomore Octagon appearance after suffering a second-round knockout loss to Chris Beal at UFC 172. An cast member of “The Ultimate Fighter 14,” Brimage is 3-2 in the Las Vegas-based promotion. 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu’s Denny Prokopos, Geo Martinez Reign at Eddie Bravo Invitational 2

C.J. Tuttle/Sherdog.com The second edition of the Eddie Bravo Invitational on Friday at Florentine Gardens in Hollywood, Calif., featured two 16-man tournaments to crown champions at bantamweight and lightweight. When it finally came time for the finals in each weight class, 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu held three of the four slots. The tournament was contested via 10-minute matches, with wins by submission only. If a match failed to end in submission, an overtime period took place. The extra period is similar to extra innings in baseball; if one team goes to bat and scores two runs, the other has to score three to win. There were three potential rounds of overtime, and a competitor can choose to start by either “spider web” or “over-under, both hooks in.” Then it becomes a test of submitting and escaping as quickly as possible, with quickest overall escape or submission winning. In the end, Denny Prokopos and Geo Martinez emerged victorious. Both competed four separate times over the course of the event, which concluded at 2 a.

41 New Documentary Explores “The History of Submission Fighting”

From wrestling in ancient Greece to the development of judo, sambo and Brazilian jiu-jitsu, the grappling arts have enjoyed a spectacular evolution over human history. This is the story that “The History of Submission Fighting” is here to tell. The new vehicle is the brainchild of executive producers Mohammed Al Hosani and combat sports documentarian Bobby Razak . The film tracks the roots of grappling through its earliest forms, arriving in the modern day with the creation of the Abu Dhabi Combat Club (ADCC) Submission Wrestling World Championship, the modern Olympics of no-gi submission grappling. ADCC, founded by His Highness Sheikh Tahnoon Bin Zayed Al Nahyan in 1998, proved a harder task to accomplish than Sheikh Tahnoon originally imagined, yet proved more fruitful in the end. Over the last 15-plus years and 10 editions, ADCC has become the most prestigious event in submission grappling and helped turn no-gi grappling into a truly international sport. The 11th instalment of the ADCC World Championship is set for September 2015 in Manaus, Brazil. The event in the heart of the Amazon will mark just ADCC's second trip to Brazil, having staged ADCC 2003 in Sao Paulo.
