Following a review of the plea agreement reached by Jon Jones and officials in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and the judge’s decision, UFC announced today the formal reinstatement of Jones to the UFC roster. Effective immediately, Jones is eligible to return to competition. As such, UFC expects Jones to meet all of the terms of his plea agreement, including mandatory community service, as a condition of his reinstatement.

Those unimpressed with Carvalho’s Bellator credentials need to glance a little further down his record to see he’s been doling out significant damage since turning pro in 2011. Carvalho lost his debut, but he followed with 11 straight victories. Nine of those wins have come by TKO, with five of, including the win over Rogers, coming in the first round.

Promotion officials announced the lightweight matchup on Thursday. Bellator 147 will take place at the San Jose State University Events Center on Dec. 4 and also includes a co-main event matchup pitting Georgi Karakhanyan against Daniel Weichel in a featherweight contest. Thomson parted ways with the UFC following a three-fight skid earlier this year. The American Kickboxing Academy standout returned to his winning ways in his promotional debut at Bellator 142, as he submitted Mike Bronzoulis with an arm-triangle choke 39 seconds into the third round of their Sept. 19 encounter. Villaseca has won 10 of his 11 professional outings, including seven inside the distance. His lone setback came in his Bellator debut when he dropped a split decision against Bobby Cooper on June 26. After a nearly four-year hiatus, Karakhanyan returned to the Scott Coker-led organization in January, when he choked out wrestler Bubba Jenkins at Bellator 132.

Last July in Dublin, Norman Parke delivered the most impressive performance of his seven-fight UFC run, stopping Japanese veteran Naoyuki Kotani in two rounds. Two losses and 15 months later, he’s back in the same building to face Reza Madadi in the UFC Fight Night co-main event on Saturday. A good omen for a return to the win column? “I’m not superstitious really,” Parke laughs. “I know a lot of people are, but I don’t really believe in it, to be honest. I can’t sit back and think that because I won last year that everything will be good this year. I just turn up and fight, that’s it.” It’s probably a good attitude to have, but at the same time, the Northern Ireland native agrees that facing an opponent coming off more than two years away from the game and doing it with Irish fans on his side isn’t a bad thing either. “I’ve felt pretty confident going into all my fights, and there’s never been a time that I felt uncomfortable or unconfident, and this one’s no different,” he said. “But I know this lad here, he’s been out quite a while.

It hurts, because we’re talking about a very talented athlete who has everything going for him. It’s tough to watch his family go through this.

Miller (14-0-1, 12 KOs) has been laying waste to regional opposition, but his lack of high-level boxing experience means little to him. He has also spent time as a professional kickboxer and has already locked horns with some of the most accomplished fighters in the world. The 6-foot-4, 280-pound Brooklyn, N.Y.-based giant twice went the distance in losses to Mirko Filipovic .
