Fighter Diet Back Attack & Audrey
It is true that I have, from a young age, entered a cycle of injuries that lead me to poor movement patterns and unstable, misaligned kinetic chain. I have broken my right hip twice, sprained my right rib cage, broken my right hand, had my bottom jaw dislocated to the right and consequently a scoliosis in my spine.
Thales Leites vs. Tim Boetsch booked for UFC 183 in Las Vegas
After his first UFC run ended in a title loss and two-fight skid, Leites fought his way back to the organization in 2013. The 32-year-old Brazilian has since posted four consecutive victories, knocking out the likes of Trevor Smith and Francis Carmont (the latter in a “Performance of the Night” effort). His overall winning streak now stands at seven fights.

Rulon Gardner selling the rest of his Olympic memorabilia to pay massive $3.9 million tax debt
I can remember like it was yesterday, sitting around the nurses station of the cancer care ward I had been working on, sneaking out to the visitor's lobby to watch for Olympic updates on the TV there. The roar from that little lobby when Gardner won was almost deafening and kind of linked everyone together in their mutual support for our country's top Olympian. All of America was pulling for Rulon that day. I know I was. I'm still pulling for him. Hopefully he gets his finances straight and can continue on with a happy, healthy life.
10 Best Bolt-Action Rifles of All Time - RifleShooter
The Savage 110 was introduced to the world in the late 1950’s, modified in the mid-1960’s, and it has remained largely the same since then minus the addition of modern finishes and stocks. The design is simple and basic, featuring a push feed design with a plunger-type ejector and dual front locking lugs. The safety is tang mounted, which is slightly different than competing guns (aside from early M77 Rugers and Brownings), and it came with a large barrel nut, which was out of the norm for most bolt action American hunting rifles. But that barrel nut helped ensure proper headspacing, and the Savage earned a reputation as one of the most accurate rifles on the market. Best of all, it was inexpensive, so even working-class shooters could shoot tight groups and extend the usable range of their rifles. It was a completely different concept than the company’s other famous sporting rifle, the Model 99 lever action. The 110 (and other closely-related variants with different numbers) has been in continuous production for almost sixty years, and its following is among the most dedicated and loyal of any rifle design.

I, and the rest of the world i'm sure, really hope you come to your senses before you negatively impact another person's life with your mental instability. your actions affect other people, and dogs too it seems. hey, there's nothing wrong with having a mental disorder, but when you pretend it doesn't exist and blame the rest of the world, then yes it does become a problem. pull your head out of your ass and get some help man. you'll look back at this and be glad you did. it's not just you you're hurting. and like it or not you are an ambassador for MMA and you are destroying the image to the general population in the way they see fighters. Man up bro and fix your problems like a man. don't come on these funding sites with this kind of ridiculous nonsense that is the sole result of your actions.

Our Ancestors Murdered—and Played Pacifist
The fact that chimps murder could mean two things. The first would be that chimps have always murdered; it’s basic to their behavior. If so, then a look at our evolutionary tree would suggest that the shared propensity for murder among chimps and humans stretches back to our last common ancestor, some eight million years ago. In other words, killing one’s kind is a basic, long-standing part of human behavior.

Sherdog’s Top 10: Flashes in the Pan - Top 10
The backlash surrounding the rapid rise of Conor
McGregor serves as an excellent reminder that MMA fans have a
distinct sensitivity to hype. Promoters have spent so much time
selling fighters as the next big thing, the real deal and the
future of the sport that enthusiasts have understandably developed
a thick skin and a sense of jaded pessimism when confronted with
the prospect of even the most promising and seemingly flawless
The 10 fighters on whom this list focuses -- “Flashes in the Pan”
-- are part of the reason for that reluctance to be swayed by the
excesses of promotion. The Sherdog.com staff assembled a long list
of potential entrants, and perhaps unsurprisingly, the ensuing
discussion led to fundamental differences of opinion about what
precisely constituted a “flash in the pan” and who should be
eligible, not to mention the final shape of the list itself. The
voters presented wildly disparate rankings; consensus was hard to
come by, and the decision was made to exclude any entrant who did
not appear on multiple lists in order to focus on the 10 fighters
who best represented the overall views of the panel.
Bisping: Post-TRT Vitor Belfort Will Be Weaker, Slower When He Faces Chris Weidman
Michael Bisping has some opinions on past opponent Vitor
Belfort. | Photo: Marcelo Alonso/Sherdog.com
Before a hand injury delayed Chris
Weidman ’s title defense against Vitor
Belfort , the two middleweights were supposed to square off at
UFC 181 on Dec. 6.
Now, that title bout is
rumored for UFC
184 on Feb. 28. According to Michael
Bisping , the longer it takes for Belfort to get a chance to
compete, the better it will be for Weidman.
“Vitor is the No. 1 contender,” Bisping said during a Tuesday
conference call. “What were my feelings when he got put back [in
that spot]? My feelings were this: That is a huge benefit for
Weidman , simply because Vitor was on testosterone replacement
therapy for a long time, and that does have an impact on your body
and the amount of muscle you carry.”
Bisping, of course, lost to Belfort at
UFC on FX 7 in January 2013 via head kick and follow-up punches
in the second round. That victory was part of the Brazilian’s
controversial late-career revival, which many believed was fueled
by a TRT prescription.

UFC 181: Hendricks vs Lawler 2 / Pettis vs Melendez
Garcia, who walks around well above 200 pounds, told Tatame that she plans to show up to the fight around 205. No matter what number she hits on the scale, she will dwarf Yabushita, a veteran Japanese jobber with a 19-22 record , who has lost to the likes of Rin Nakai, Sarah Kaufman, Shayna Baszler, Tara LaRosa, and Marloes Coenen. Yabushita is on a six-fight losing streak, hasn’t competed in 18 months, and hasn’t won a fight since April 2010. Basically, Gabi Garcia vs. Megumi Yabushita is the female equivalent of Bob Sapp vs Bobby Ologun .

The Mike Dolce Show
I usually don't like writing reviews but, I was feeling guilt for not say anything about the show. I don't know Mike in person but I can guarantee to anyone that Mike knows what he talks about and, to have knowledge doesn't mean you have to be a Doctor or whatever you title you prefer to call. Mike makes all plain and simple: you are what you eat and what matters is quality of the fuel you put in your body. Doctors are legal drug dealers, they won't tell you other ways to lose weight or whatever the problem may be other then taking pills and more pills. Great work done by Mike, I ain't nobody but I totally approve and appreciate what Mike does. Thank you Mike, excellent job.

Dann Stupp Joins Press Row
Every Wednesday, Administrative Editor Jordan Breen welcomes a member
of the mixed martial arts media into “Press Row” on the Sherdog.com
blog. This week, Breen is joined by MMA Junkie editor-in-chief and
USA Today senior MMA editor Dann Stupp .
Breen and Stupp discuss Canadian bantamweight Michael
Imperato and the significance of his release by the UFC before
he fought for the company after it was revealed he'd made racist
and homophobic remarks during the filming of MMA reality TV show
“Fight Xchange.” The two discuss the uneven punishments for
socially lamentable behavior in the UFC, whether fighters like
Imperato can ever earn a UFC bid and overcome the incidents of
their past and the slippery slope of legislating morality in a
sport like MMA.
The duo also discuss the recent and tragic tribulations of Jason “Mayhem”
Miller and War Machine ,
why MMA notoriety and antisocial behavior often go hand-in-hand,
what crimes an athlete's reputation can never recover from and what
sort of sensational story it would take to negatively impact mixed
martial arts on the whole.
Bloody Elbow's dirty dozen college wrestling rankings: #5 Edinboro
I actually write about Edinboro wrestling somewhat regularly; Some of their alumni have gone on to prominent MMA careers, and I just find the unlikely phenomenon of Edinboro wrestling fascinating; the program achieves so much despite its disadvantages. The school boasts a remote location, bad weather and little name recognition. Furthermore, in this day and age, many top Division I wrestling programs have palatial, state-of-the-art practice facilities replete with flat screen televisions, plush customized locker rooms and natural lighting. Meanwhile, Edinboro's older, more modest accommodations in the basement of an athletic building resemble something from a Division II school, which makes sense as Edinboro is a Division II school, other than its wrestling program.

After seeing his UFC dream dashed, Ontario’s Michael Imperato hopes to prove he is neither a racist, nor a homophobe
As someone who appears to have had no prior experience with bullying, it was a very difficult experience to handle in a foreign land. After trying to convince the producers of the show to send him home, which they were very reluctant to do, Imperato left the house, and took part in one of the few moments in his life that he wishes he could take back.
Herbalife shakes not responsible for Mexican death, say doctors
Some Mexican publications linked the death of Lorena Peralta Baltazar, a 28 year old Mexican woman, to overconsumption of Herbalife products they reported she had become addicted to. The reports alleged that the family and local authorities said lead had been found in her blood, pointing the finger at the weight loss products she was said to consume regularly as the source of lead.

"That's one of the things that I'm learning right now. As a fighter, you kind of don't want to admit that but at the same time I'm not looking to sit here comfortably in the three-spot or four-spot -- I'm going for the championship.

Ratings report: UFC 179 prelims land 536,000 viewers
Bucking monstrous sports competition, the UFC 179 prelims did 536,000 viewers, the second-lowest audience for that type of show for prelims since the move to Fox Sports 1. The two-hour show was without a marquee star on the undercard with William "Patolino" Macario vs Neil Magny as the main event. But the difference was more the competition with a World Series game and two major college football games going head-to-head. It fell from the 698,000 on the Sept. 27 show which had Dominick Cruz's return, but was up from the record-low 436,000 for the prelims before UFC 177 . The big competition was the World Series, which did 10.7 million viewers on FOX. ESPN was broadcasting No. 3 ranked Ole Miss vs. No. 24 ranked Louisiana State in college football, which did 4.9 million viewers, and ESPN 2 aired No. 4 ranked Alabama vs. Tennessee which did 2.6 million viewers. The show had a far higher profile in Brazil, given it came from Rio de Janeiro, and featured Brazil's last champion, Jose Aldo , in the main event. The show did 7.5 million viewers on Globo, an impressive number since the main event, airing on a few minute delay, started after 2 a.
Wallid Ismail: ‘Jose Aldo saved Brazilian MMA’
"Brazilians need to be focused. Any fighter in the world who starts to (become) an actor and be a lot in the TV, the next step is they lose focus," he said. "I talked about it to Bethe (Correia). She was in the media a lot, and I told her ‘Bethe, now is the time to be focused. Enough of media.’ Fighters need to train hard."
UFC 179 Pivotal Moments: Aldo vs Mendes, part 1 of 2
There is still the moment-to-moment brilliance of Aldo himself at play in this sequence. Nearly every one of Aldo's ramrod jabs in the second round was timed perfectly so as to coincide with a forward step from Mendes. Not only was Mendes off-balanced as a result, but he was actively discouraged from advancing and closing the distance throughout the round. And because Aldo knows to jab at the chest of an evasive opponent, Mendes failed to set up a counter using his much improved head movement. The same opening that Mendes exploited against Yaotzin Meza is there against Aldo in frame 6--the champion's weight is committed forward and his head is unprotected on the left side. But Aldo's jab is not Meza's jab, and Aldo places that piston-like punch perfectly. Mendes couldn't swing his right shoulder forward to counter even if he wanted to, thanks to Aldo's disruptive fist.
