This podcast has jumped to the top of my UFC/MMA podcast list - but c'mon, once a week?. I really feel like Brendan and Bryan should be able to do at least 2 eps a week, or maybe 2 hours a pop - I mean, what else do these guys have to do during the day? Brendan habitually mispronouncing every major UFC fighter's name on the roster is a nice touch, too. I also want to hear more about Bryan's mad greco skills. I think he should do each episode shirtless.

Boeing Debuts Its Portable Drone Killing Laser - SocialUnderground

If you’re an enemy on the ground with a rifle, the chance of you taking out a drone is impossible. Even with rockets, a drone is tough to take down if you don’t have technology advanced enough to take it down. Boeing has been researching and developing ways to bring down to disable drones lately, and recently, the defense contractor debuted footage of its new Compact Laser Weapons System .

Fedor Emelianenko Makes Triumphant NYE Return, Strikes Jaideep Singh into Submission

All went according to plan for Fedor Emelianenko . In his first appearance since June 2012, the former Pride Fighting Championships heavyweight king struck an overmatched Jaideep Singh into first-round submission at Rizin Fighting Federation 2 on Thursday at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan. Singh (2-1) tapped to punches 3:02 into round one. Emelianenko (35-4) gave the reigning Deep megaton champion no time to relax. The 39-year-old rattled Singh with a volley of power punches, executed a takedown from the rear waist lock and settled in side control. Soon after, Emelianenko climbed to mount, secured his position and uncorked a series of crushing right hands that had the Indian kickboxer asking for a way out. Referee John McCarthy obliged his request. Lost in the shadow of Emelianenko’s return, former Strikeforce champion Muhammed Lawal delivered a one-punch knockout against Jiri Prochazka to win the eight-man Rizin heavyweight grand prix. Prochazka (16-3-1) -- who forced Vadim Nemkov ’s retirement in the semifinals -- went down 5:09 into round one.

13’s 2015 Knockout of the Year - McGregor vs. Aldo

1. Conor McGregor vs. Jose Aldo UFC 194 Saturday, Dec. 12 MGM Grand Garden Arena | Las Vegas You might not be “Mystic Mac,” but I hope you could have predicted this thing. Conor McGregor ran roughshod over showcase opponent Dennis Siver on Jan. 18 in Boston, knocking him out in just under seven minutes before diving into the crowd and screaming like a wild-eyed lunatic in the face of Jose Aldo . For the almost 11 months that followed, the MMA world watched countless fights right in front of its face, all while keeping its gaze fixed on the horizon for Aldo-McGregor. When a rib injury nixed Aldo from their slated UFC 189 headliner in July, McGregor responded in kind by stopping former two-time title challenger Chad Mendes in Aldo’s stead, intensifying the Aldo-McGregor hype to an unprecedented degree, especially for a sub-welterweight fight. After all that -- the world press tour, the trash talk, the rib injury, the most dramatic and expensive MMA prefight build-up we have ever seen -- we finally witnessed the biggest 145-pound fight in this sport’s history and Sherdog.

8 step guide to landing a Pole Princess - SocialUnderground

I am Ralph Sutton , currently the host of a nationally syndicated rock radio show The Tour Bus, as well as the recently ranked #1 iTunes comedy podcast ‘The SDR Show’ (The Sex, Drugs & Rock n Roll Show) and although I have been chastised on the latter show for bringing up my Strip Club DJ past too often, I was asked to comprise an 8 point guide related to my strip club past, so A: I must be doing something right, and B: Why not tell you my guide to picking up one of those ever elusive, usually crazy, sexy-bodied, daddy-issue having dancers?!?! Even though my initial instinct is to climb to the highest mountain and exclaim ‘DON’T DO IT!’   I was, for almost a decade, considered one of the top strip club DJs in NYC (as silly as that sounds), and I worked at Scores, Pure Platinum, Lace, Solid Gold, and various other boobie bars, so needless to say I dated my fair share of pole princesses. Now, without further ado, here’s Ralph Sutton’s guide to picking up a stripper.

5 Reasons to Watch: UFC 195: Lawler vs. Condit

From a championship main event between Robbie Lawler and Carlos Condit to an ultra violent war brewing between Albert Tumenov and Lorenz Larkin, here are five good reasons to watch UFC 195 on Saturday night.

UFC 195 Title Shot a Decade In the Making For Resilient Carlos Condit

Nothing is ever as simple as winning or losing, and this is the mantra that’s driving welterweight title challenger Carlos Condit, who faces Robbie Lawler for the 170-pound crown this Saturday in the main event at UFC 195. The overall journey of discovery is what matters the most to Condit. His is one decade in the making and that couldn’t be made without honest self-assessment. “When I first got started, it was because I simply loved to fight and was motivated by the competition and challenge of it all,” Condit said. “Testing yourself in hand-to-hand combat against another man is as primal as it gets, but within that I found something else entirely – almost an art form in a manner of speaking.   “Over the years I’ve pushed myself to continuously develop in all areas because the mental aspect is just as important – if not more so – than the physical part of fighting. The idea that the warrior spirit or mentality comes to an individual just because they fight is ridiculous. It has to be studied, learned and understood.

Jimi Manuwa Injured; Bout vs. Nikita Krylov at UFC Fight Night London Canceled

A scheduled light heavyweight contest between Jimi Manuwa and Nikita Krylov has been removed from the UFC Fight Night London bill. Promotion officials announced on Thursday that the cancellation occurred due to a Manuwa injury. The exact nature of the British fighter’s ailment was not disclosed. UFC Fight Night takes place at the O2 Arena in London on Feb. 27 and is headlined by a middleweight showdown between Anderson Silva and Michael Bisping . Manuwa last appeared at UFC 191 this past September, when he suffered a second-round knockout loss to Anthony Johnson . “Poster Boy” is 4-2 in the Las Vegas-based organization, with three of those triumphs coming via technical knockout. Krylov has won three straight bouts inside of a round, besting Marcos Rogerio de Lima , Stanislav Nedkov and Cody Donovan in succession. The 23-year-old Ukrainian has finished all 19 of his professional victories inside the distance.

Opinion: Manny Pacquiao-Timothy Bradley 3 Not as Bad as You Think

Editor's note: The views and opinions expressed below are those of the author and do not necessarily reflect the views of, its affiliates and sponsors or its parent company, Evolve Media. Manny Pacquiao ’s decision to face Timothy Bradley for his final fight before taking on politics full-time was met with a shrug of indifference by the general public. After all, 99.9 percent of fight fans believe Pacquiao handily defeated Bradley in the two previous showdowns, even though the official record sits at 1-1 after erroneous scorecards inexplicably handed Bradley the first fight. So why are we doing this again? Originally, it looked like Pacquiao’s opponent would come in the form of Terence “Bud” Crawford, a young switch-hitting lion who has the kind of pedigree that could potentially give Pacquiao problems. It was also the Filipino’s opportunity to stick it to Floyd Mayweather Jr. by exiting the sport with a challenge rather than taking the easiest path to retirement. However, Pacquiao decided to go the Bradley route, much to the chagrin of fight fans hoping to see the “Pac-Man” pass the torch to Crawford.

Oli Thompson Trounces Fernando Rodrigues Jr. to Win Inoki Genome Federation GP

Oli Thompson evidently had other things to do. Thompson made quick work of Team Nogueira’s Fernando Rodrigues Jr. , as he disposed of the Brazilian with first-round punches to win the Inoki Genome Federation heavyweight grand prix in the Inoki Bom-Ba-Ye 2015 headliner on Thursday at Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo. The end came 2:08 into round two. The 35-year-old Thompson (17-8-2) follows Satoshii Ishii and Mirko Filipovic into the still-exclusive pantheon of IGF champions, having passed through Rodrigues, Chris Barnett and Ikuhisa Minowa in the eight-man tournament. A winner of the 2006 British Strongest Man competition who made two unsuccessful appearances in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, Thompson has rattled off five straight victories. The loss halted a three-fighting winning streak for Rodrigues (9-2). Meanwhile, the aforementioned Barnett (14-2) bounced back from his Aug. 29 decision defeat to Thompson by stopping Shinichi Suzukawa on punches in the first round of their brief heavyweight rematch. Suzukawa (2-4) succumbed to blows 1:44 into round one.

But you can’t compare Dana White to commissioners in major pro sports leagues for the same reasons you can’t compare MMA to professional baseball. Other pro sports commissioners are more like CEOs answerable to a variety of powerful shareholders. White is more like a carnival barker answerable only to his wealthy friends whose bottom line he’s tasked with looking after. His job is less to present an image of class and decorum than it is to shout loud enough that he can’t be ignored.

Champ T.J. Dillashaw: Dominick Cruz's trash-talk part of 'Conor McGregor era'

“I do think you have to beat the champ, you know?” Dillashaw said. “I feel like in a lot of these title fights – if the fight is close and the round is close, if it’s anywhere toward a draw – you give that round to the champ. I do think you have to take it to him. If you’re trying to take a title from the guy, you should have to beat him. You should have to put it on him and come at him.”

Confident (Deluxe Edition) by Demi Lovato on iTunes

Some albums unfold. Confident unfurls like a flag on a battlefield. Demi goes hard, holding notes with a passion yet unseen. She purges herself of tough lessons learned on “Old Ways,” “Lionheart,” and “Waitin for You.” Even vulnerable moments, like “Stone Cold” and “For You,” are full of muscle and sinew, more apt to put a fist through a wall than to lick a wound. When she takes time to count the wins on pop-EDM bangers “Cool for the Summer” and “Stars,” her joy and relief wash over like a cleansing rain. Whatever struggle life throws at you, Confident has an anthem for that.
