Dana White: UFC Talking to Floyd Mayweather About Potential Deal
Mayweather apparently wasn’t just all talk when he recently
mentioned that the UFC had offered him a multi-fight contract.
According to UFC President Dana White, the Las Vegas-based
promotion is having legitimate discussion with the retired boxer
about competing in the Octagon. Mayweather improved his boxing mark
to 50-0 with a 10th round technical knockout of UFC lightweight
McGregor on Aug. 26.
"We're talking to Floyd about doing a UFC deal," White told
ESPN.com . "It's real. He was talking about [boxing] Conor
McGregor . Was that real? Have you heard Floyd talk about many
things that aren't real? He usually tips his hand when he's in the
media, and then that s—t ends up happening.
"We're interested in doing something with Floyd. Everything is a
realistic possibility. Mayweather vs. McGregor f---ing happened.
Anything is possible.”
Last week, Mayweather claimed that he had an offer that could make
him $1 billion to fight in the UFC. White did not reveal any
specifics when it came to contract negotiations.

Big John is no pushover, as he is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt, but these two attackers had the element of surprise, as no one would imagine being attacked in a Costco parking lot over controversial fight stoppages. Big John apparently was facing one of the attackers, when he was hit in the back of the head with a large bag of staples purchased at the big box store. It is hard to recover from that, but Big John did manage to get in his licks. The two low lifes were pretty scuffed up in their mug shots. But there were two of them and only one of Big John. Matches to Make After UFC 219
Holm wandered onto the tracks when the train ... well, you know
“The Preacher’s Daughter” was unsuccessful in her bid to dethrone
Ultimate Fighting Championship women’s featherweight
Cyborg , as she lost a unanimous decision to the Brazilian
juggernaut in the UFC
219 main event on Saturday at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Scores were 49-46, 48-47 and 48-47 for Justino, though most
observers felt the judges went easy on the affable Holm.
Justino outlanded the Albuquerque, New Mexico, native by
substantial FightMetric margins across the five-round affair:
118-44 in significant strikes and 131-48 in total strikes. Worse
for Holm, the champion’s punches, knees and kicks had considerably
more heat on them and took a far heavier toll. By the time their 25
minutes were up, the challenger was barely recognizable, the left
side of her face battered by a series of clubbing “Cyborg” right
hands. To Holm’s credit, she managed to stay alert and never
stopped probing for avenues to what was always an unlikely victory.

The best (and worst) UFC poster designs of 2017, as ranked by a pro
“If I were doing the poster design for the next Max Holloway fight, I’d try having a belt-holding Holloway proudly ruling over his domain of cupcakes. A UFC champ and cupcakes: two seemingly conflicting images. Firas Zahabi: Georges St. Pierre Will Come Back to UFC for a ‘Big, Exciting Fight’
A blockbuster middleweight title fight lured Georges St.
Pierre out of a four-year retirement, and it will likely take
something of similar magnitude to get him back in the Octagon
According to Firas Zahabi, St. Pierre’s trainer at Tristar Gym, the
former UFC welterweight and middleweight champion will need a “big,
exciting fight” to catch his interest. St. Pierre submitted
Bisping in the third round at UFC 217 on Nov. 4 to capture the
185-pound title. After revealing that he was dealing with colitis,
“Rush” vacated the belt to focus on his health. A target date for
his potential next bout has not been revealed.
“Hard to say, honestly,” Zahabi told TSN . “I
think Georges is gonna get better, get back in the gym, feel his
body out and see what he wants. What’s the most interesting, epic
fight out there? [Floyd] Mayweather, [Conor] McGregor, who do you
want to see him fight?
“We need a mega-fight.”
The victory over Bisping extended St. Pierre’s UFC winning streak

greatest welterweight champion of all-time, he has received some
criticism — including from UFC President Dana White — for electing
not to defend the 185-pound strap.
