Biceps injury knocks Paulo Costa out of fight with Uriah Hall at UFC-Atlantic City
He debuted with the promotion nearly a year ago in his native Brazil and picked up a $50,000 bonus for a first-round TKO of Garreth McLellan. That gave him nine first-round stoppages in his first nine pro fights, with eight coming by knockout or TKO. Henry Cejudo Believes Demetrious Johnson Could Easily Defeat T.J. Dillashaw
Former flyweight title challenger Henry
Cejudo has weighed in with his thoughts on the outcome of a
potential superfight between the current
Ultimate Fighting Championship 125-pound champion Demetrious
Johnson and bantamweight ace T.J.
Cejudo has experienced firsthand just how good Johnson is back at
UFC 197 in 2016, when lost via TKO in the first round. Cejudo
recently appeared on MMAFighting.com and commented on the bout,
believing “Mighty Mouse” would easily win while pointing out the
weight loss as being the deciding factor in the fight.
“I have Demetrious by a landslide, to be honest with you. I think
Demetrious’ speed; he’s intelligent, nothing to take away from T.J.
I’ve said it before, I think it’s just a weight issue. I think it’s
T.J. getting down those extra 10 pounds and how he recovers the
next day. I think that’s the biggest factor in that fight.”
Fight fans are eager for “Mighty Mouse” to test himself after he
set a UFC record in his last fight against Ray Borg for
most title defenses with 11.

Justino is no longer the main priority for Amanda
After “Cyborg” dispatched Yana
Kunitskaya in the UFC 222 main event on March 3, Dana White
hinted that he would push for Justino vs. Nunes next. Despite those
claims from the UFC president, a rumored showdown between Nunes and
Pennington was made official for UFC 224 shortly
While Nunes was calling for the fight against Cyborg a while back,
now she’s more interested in cleaning out her own division.
“When I texted Dana White that I wanted the fight, it was because I
didn’t have nobody in my division. I didn’t even know if I was
gonna fight soon,” Nunes said on the UFC
“Unfiltered" podcast. “I was concerned with waiting years
because I’ve been in that position before, waiting so long for a
fight, and I don’t want to do it again. I don’t want to stay here
waiting, waiting, waiting.
“But now, we have Rocky [Pennington] and we have the Brazilian,
Ketlen [Vieira] and I feel like my division is starting to grow.

What does Michael Bisping want from a final opponent, and who best fits the bill?
Current USA TODAY Sports/MMAjunkie ranking: 7
Why it works: How is it even possible that these two haven’t fought at least once already? Probably it’s because Chris Weidman was ascendant at a time when no one seriously considered Bisping as a potential title challenger, and then fell on hard times just as Bisping surged into the top spot. Now Weidman’s coming off a win over the same guy who just knocked Bisping out in his last fight, so maybe the timing is just right. Plus, ex-champ vs. ex-champ is always a fun time.
Why it doesn’t: Once again, there’s the animosity angle. Even though they’ve never met in the cage, they’ve still feuded bitterly online and in the media. (Are you seeing a trend yet?) It would get personal in a hurry, and there would almost certainly be some cussing, but if that’s going to be a catch-all dealbreaker then we might as well forget the whole retirement fight thing altogether. Honestly, the toughest part might be getting them both to agree. Weidman has his eye on a title shot. Bisping seems to just want a win on his way out the door, and Weidman makes for a tough stylistic match-up.

On Cro Cop, Bellator's Scott Coker has questions, so it's only fair to give him some answers
Cro Cop seems to be getting away with it in part because enough time has passed that the heat has all died down. It’s been more than two years since he was hit with a two-year suspension, after all. It’s just that he kept fighting and getting paid during the suspension, so there is a legitimate question about whether or not he suffered any real consequences for using human growth hormone while preparing for a fight.

Fabricio Werdum: Trash talk unnecessary for UFC-London main event
LONDON – Former UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum is set to take on a dangerous contender in the UFC Fight Night 127 main event Saturday night, but the Brazilian has no intention of manufacturing any bad blood ahead of the contest.
Fabricio Werdum: Colby Covington is a ‘Nobody’
Like a number of other fighters in the modern mixed martial arts
Covington is a self-promoter. His antics in the past have
caused a lot of friction between himself and other fighters.
In November, he famously clashed with Fabricio
Werdum while touring in Sydney, Australia, for UFC Fight Night

accusing Werdum of punching him in the face outside their hotel
room. Covington pressed charges against the Brazilian as a result
of the alleged assault.
Werdum recently talked with MMAJunkie.com and stated that he’s ready to put
his altercations with Covington aside:
“I had some problems with Colby (Covington), who’s an insignificant
fighter. I didn’t provoke him. He’s the one who called me a
‘Brazilian animal.’ For me, that’s in the past. He’s a nobody. He’s
never won anything. He only talks crap. He badmouths an entire
country -- so he has zero credit. I compare him to someone who
first arrives in America with no credit. He’s a guy with no credit.
He’s never been a champion.
