Henderson, 34, joined Bellator in early 2016 as a marquee free-agent signing, but he’s encountered some troubles along the way. Yoel Romero Says Middleweight Title Fight vs. Robert Whittaker Set for UFC 225
The middleweight championship clash between Robert
Whittaker and Yoel Romero

During an appearance on "The JRE MMA

the United Center in Chicago on June 9. The Las Vegas-based
promotion has yet to make a formal announcement regarding the

has also been rumored to make his Octagon return at the event,
though that has not been confirmed.
Whittaker and Romero first fought at UFC 213, with Whittaker

Henry Cejudo Believes Demetrious Johnson Could Easily Defeat T.J. Dillashaw
Former flyweight title challenger Henry
Cejudo has weighed in with his thoughts on the outcome of a
potential superfight between the current
Ultimate Fighting Championship 125-pound champion Demetrious
Johnson and bantamweight ace T.J.
Cejudo has experienced firsthand just how good Johnson is back at
UFC 197 in 2016, when lost via TKO in the first round. Cejudo
recently appeared on MMAFighting.com and commented on the bout,
believing “Mighty Mouse” would easily win while pointing out the
weight loss as being the deciding factor in the fight.
“I have Demetrious by a landslide, to be honest with you. I think
Demetrious’ speed; he’s intelligent, nothing to take away from T.J.
I’ve said it before, I think it’s just a weight issue. I think it’s
T.J. getting down those extra 10 pounds and how he recovers the
next day. I think that’s the biggest factor in that fight.”
Fight fans are eager for “Mighty Mouse” to test himself after he
set a UFC record in his last fight against Ray Borg for
most title defenses with 11.
Two bouts have been added to the UFC 224
lineup, as John
Lineker will square off against Brian

Multiple outlets have confirmed the Lineker vs. Kelleher booking
following an initial report by
Combate . Meanwhile, the promotion officially announced the
Leites vs. Hermansson showdown on Monday.
UFC 224 takes place at Jeunesse Arena and will feature a women’s
bantamweight championship clash between Amanda

Lineker has won seven of his last eight Octagon appearances,
including a unanimous decision triumph over Marlon Vera

Fabricio Werdum Wary of Alexander Volkov’s Dangerous Striking Game
Werdum will face off against Alexander
Volkov Saturday at
UFC Fight Night 127 inside London’s O2 Arena.
The former heavyweight champion Werdum (23-1, 1 NC) has won two
straight fights inside the Octagon and is coming off a unanimous
decision victory over Marcin
Tybura back in November.
Meanwhile, Volkov (29-6) is riding a five-fight win streak with his
last victory coming against Stefan
Struve . He dispatched the giant Dutchman by TKO in the third
round in September.
Werdum spoke with A G Fight about his opponent Volkov and is well
aware of the threat the Russian possesses in the striking game (via
Bloody Elbow ):
“Volkov is a really dangerous guy. He has been showing that not
only in the UFC, but for a while now. He was a Bellator
MMA champion, if I’m not mistaken. He’s great reach and is
really, really tall. He’s a real heavyweight. He has great muay
Thai, but lacks ground skills. You can’t compare his stand-up with
his grappling. His striking is very refined, so you must be
careful. I’ll fight smart, because he’s a good fighter.”
Werdum has trained with Volkov in the past although he won’t be
basing his game plan solely on what he learnt about the Russian in
those weeks they spent together.

On Cro Cop, Bellator's Scott Coker has questions, so it's only fair to give him some answers
Cro Cop seems to be getting away with it in part because enough time has passed that the heat has all died down. It’s been more than two years since he was hit with a two-year suspension, after all. It’s just that he kept fighting and getting paid during the suspension, so there is a legitimate question about whether or not he suffered any real consequences for using human growth hormone while preparing for a fight.

UFC-London main-event breakdown: Can Alexander Volkov get Fabricio Werdum to fight his fight?
I believe that Werdum is a justified favorite, but I also think that Volkov is a bit more of a live ‘dog than the betting line suggests. If he can defend Werdum’s takedown attempts and lull the former champion’s ego into a striking match, then I could easily see Volkov’s building pace and pressure take over this fight. The Russian has a right-hand counter that will be live and a lead-foot head kick that could also get the job done.

5 Things You Might Not Know About Darren Till
As an undefeated welterweight on the
Ultimate Fighting Championship roster, Darren Till
finds himself on the verge of stardom. His rousing stoppage of
Cerrone at UFC Fight Night 118 put him on the map and has the
confident Englishman on the hunt for bigger prey, including
dos Anjos . As “The Gorilla” moves closer and closer to a
potential title shot inside the Octagon, here are five things you
might not know about him:
1. He butters his bread with muay Thai.
Till started his muay Thai training at the age of 12 and turned
professional three years later. He claims a kickboxing record of
44-0 with 33 knockouts. Till also holds the rank of purple belt in
Luta Livre, a Brazilian martial art that mixes catch wrestling,
judo and striking with the hands, feet, knees and elbows.
2. He turns defense into offense.
FightMetric statistics speak to Till’s defensive abilities. In
compiling 4-0-1 record in the UFC, he has successfully defended 82
percent of the takedowns and 62 percent of the significant strikes
attempted against him. Meanwhile, Till has landed 52 percent of his
significant strikes and connects with 3.
Nick Newell deserves his UFC shot, but what will it take?
At this point, however, it’s hard to keep making the argument that Newell’s congenital amputation renders him incapable of competing safely at the UFC level. He’s won all his fights but one, and finished most of his opponents. He’s beaten guys who have beaten guys who have fought in the UFC. He may have lost to Gaethje, but so will most people walking this earth, no matter how many hands they have.
Jose Aldo: Frankie Edgar fighting Brian Ortega on late notice was 'biggest mistake'
“It’s a new generation that’s coming in,” Aldo told Brazil’s “Giro Combate” show. “Age comes for everyone, and it’s normal to have this sort of rotation. To me, it wasn’t (surprising). I just thought it was a mistake on Edgar’s end to fight (Ortega), who’s a very tough guy. He would have fought for the title, risked that and lost. Now he’s all the way back there again.
Why Georges St-Pierre vs. Conor McGregor definitely will happen, according to Chael Sonnen
“I know that George would do it. He’s made that clear. And I also know contrary to what some fans will say about, ‘Well, what wait class? You can only ask Conor to go up so much.’ George will go down,” Sonnen said. “Now that it has come out that Conor talked to Dana and wanted to do a 165-pound fight, George will go down to 165. I’ll speak for him. I’ll tell you he for sure will. I’m not speaking for him; he shared that with me. But I will pass it on to you. He will go to 165 if it means Conor.”
