Post choke out, where the fuck am I , WTF happened, feeling kinda warm and fuzzy , hope I didn't just piss my shorts on live TV , thousand yard stare. I've posted plenty of pictures looking like a Badass. Triumphant and powerful... But here's the flip side, crumpled and weak in defeat. Rough day at the office Fuck it though, I had fun. I trained my ass off and I came to fight. This is what leaving it all out there looked like on Saturday. Much respect to my opponent and his team. Thank you for taking the fight on short notice. Congratulations and best of luck in the future. I don't know what's next guys... I still love this game, and most days I still feel that fire, I absolutely love what it do, but maybe my time has passed. I don't know the answer. this is what I know, this is my passion. I will never stop training, and If that leads me back to the the octagon, you know I'll try to make it bloody for ya. Right now I'm looking forward to summer shenanigans with my sons and to expanding @hundredhandscoffee .

Yancy Medeiros to Meet Mike Perry at UFC 226 in Las Vegas

A potential welterweight slugfest has been booked for UFC 226 , as Yancy Medeiros will face Mike Perry in Las Vegas on July 7. Promotion officials announced the pairing on Tuesday. UFC 226 takes place at the T-Mobile Arena and is headlined by a heavyweight championship clash between Stipe Miocic and Daniel Cormier . The evening’s main card airs on pay-per-view, while prelims will be broadcast on Fox Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass. Medeiros had a three-bout winning streak snapped in his last outing at UFC Fight Night 126, where he suffered a first-round technical knockout loss to Donald Cerrone . The 30-year-old Hawaiian was coming off a potential “Fight of the Year” performance for 2017 in a third-round stoppage of Alex Oliveira at UFC 218. Perry, meanwhile, generated plenty of hype with KO/TKO victories in four of his first five Octagon appearances. However, “Platinum” will look to get back in the win column against Medeiros after dropping decisions to Max Griffin and Santiago Ponzinibbio in his last two UFC bouts.

Alexander Gustafsson waiting for a UFC offer, would box Jon Jones

Gustafsson would take extraordinary measures to get a rematch with Jones, who outpointed him five years ago in a “Fight of the Year” winner. Jones faces up to a four year suspension with USADA for his second anti-doping offense under the UFC’s anti-doping program.

Matches to Make After UFC on Fox 29

It felt like Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje left pieces of themselves strewn across the Octagon. No one expected anything less. Poirier made a significant move in the Ultimate Fighting Championship lightweight division, as he put away the former World Series of Fighting titleholder with punches in the fourth round of their UFC on Fox 29 main event on Saturday at the Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizona. Gaethje succumbed to blows 33 seconds into Round 4. It was a beautifully brutal encounter. Gaethje targeted the inside of the American Top Team rep’s lead leg with repeated kicks and zeroed in on his head with clubbing power punches. Poirier returned fire, withstood his counterpart’s breakneck pace and capitalized when the opportunity to finish presented itself. The FightMetric figures were startling: Poirier and Gaethje combined to land 295 total strikes, 289 of them significant. In the aftermath of UFC on Fox 29, here are five matches that ought to be made: Related » UFC Glendale: By the Numbers Dustin Poirier vs.

Sherdog’s Official Mixed Martial Arts Rankings - Shine On, You Crazy Diamond

Dustin Poirier has consistently proven himself to be one of the Ultimate Fighting Championship lightweight division’s most violent talents. “The Diamond” lived up to that reputation in the UFC on Fox 29 headliner in Glendale, Arizona, as he stopped former World Series of Fighting champion Justin Gaethje 33 seconds into the fourth round of a wildly entertaining slugfest. Not only did the victory propel Poirier past the offensive-minded Gaethje in our 155-pound rankings, but it sets him up nicely for a significant bout down the road. While it might not be champion Khabib Nurmagomedov as he requested in his Octagon interview, with just one defeat in his last nine outings, Poirier is at least on the outskirts of the title discussion. Elsewhere, John Moraga continued his resurgence in the flyweight division, as he dispatched fellow former title challenger Wilson Reis in a preliminary affair at UFC on Fox 29. “Chicano” John has now won three straight bouts at 125 pounds and he moves from No. 10 to No. 8 in our flyweight poll.

Clay Guida vs. Bobby Green Joins Already Loaded UFC 225 Fight Card for Chicago

The UFC 225 fight card is already stacked, starting with what promises to be a top heavy main card. UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker heads the bill, putting his belt on the line for the first time in a rematch with Yoel Romero. With no drop-off in the UFC 225 co-main event, former lightweight champion Rafael Dos Anjos meets polarizing figure Colby Covington in a battle for the interim UFC welterweight title.

Professional Fighters League Unveils 2018 Season Schedule, Full Fighter Roster

The Professional Fighters League will officially kick off its 2018 campaign as a rebranded organization on Thursday, June 7 at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden. By the end of its first official “season,” the organization formerly known as World Series of Fighting will have awarded $1 million payouts to its champions in the featherweight, lightweight, welterweight, middleweight, light heavyweight and heavyweight divisions. The promotion's overall prize pool is $10 million. The PFL’s seven-event regular season will begin with the aforementioned New York card before moving to Chicago on June 21; Washington, D.C. on July 5; Long Island, N.Y., on July 19 and Aug. 2 and Atlantic City, N.J., on Aug. 16 and Aug. 30. The PFL postseason, which features a single-elimination format, will take place on three weekends in October. Cities and venues for those events have yet to be announced. The 2018 championship, or PFL 11, will take place on Dec. 31. All told, PFL’s first season is expected to include 126 fights over the course of 11 events from June to December.

Report: ESPN and FOX Sports put in joint bid for UFC TV rights deal

Fox, which currently pays $120 million per year UFC rights, would be willing see that number increase to a little more than $200 million. Fox’s current package includes four Saturday-night fights per year on Fox Broadcasting and a number of fight events on cabler Fox Sports 1 that has increased annually under its current agreement. A joint bid with ESPN would see Fox’s total number of events decline slightly.

UFC on Fox 29 Post-Mortem: Anarchy in Arizona

As Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje locked eyes in the Octagon for the main event of UFC on Fox 29 in Glendale, Arizona, no one knew exactly what we were going to get. The only thing fans knew was that it was going to be a war for the ages, and that it was. At the opening bell, Poirier and Gaethje went to war for four rounds in a back and forth slobber knocker that resulted in a TKO win for Poirier and a possible claim to a title shot against newly-crowned undisputed lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov . The fight began typical of any Gaethje brawl, with the former World Series of Fighting champion coming forward winging wild punches and thudding leg kicks in an attempt to break his opponent down. Poirier remained steadfast in his gameplan and never wavered, landing a picture-perfect left hand. Smelling blood in the water, Poirier pressed forward on his teetering foe, firing off a barrage of punches to finish the job. The win for Poirier marked his second straight and brought him to 7-1-1 overall since his move up to the lightweight division in late 2015.

Thanks again, @arielhelwani for enabling a proven liar to continue to propagate lies against me/my work by Ali last week. It worked. Perhaps getting both sides/proof would be the responsible journalistic thing to do before allowing propagandists to spread lies? #mmahour …

Marvin Vettori plans to slap 'double-face liar' Israel Adesanya next time they cross paths

“Next time I see him – I better not see him because I’m going to after him. I don’t care who is in front of me. I’m going to slap him real hard. I don’t care. Whatever I say I’m down to back it up. I’m not a little (expletive). I don’t talk to be funny like he does. Next time I see him, it’s better that I don’t see him because it’s not going to be good for him. I don’t like the fact that he’s a double-face liar. At first he said something and he was all beat up, and then right after he goes out and talks (expletive).”

Kevin Lee on Edson Barboza: ‘I’m Going to Whoop This Boy Even Worse Than Khabib Did’

A world class Ultimate Fighting Championship lightweight bout takes place Saturday April 21 inside the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey, when potential title contenders Kevin Lee and Edson Barboza meet inside the Octagon. Lee is coming off a loss in October for the interim lightweight belt, where he was submitted in the third round against Tony Ferguson . The defeat ended his five-fight winning streak. Barboza last took to the cage in December against the recently-crowned lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov . “The Eagle” nullified Barboza’s striking game on that night, earning a dominant unanimous decision victory. Lee spoke to reporters at the UFC Performance Institute ahead of this weekend’s bout with Barboza (via ): “I want that Khabib fight. I’ve been calling for it for a long time. I feel like I’m going to get a better version of Edson Barboza that fought Khabib a couple months ago. I’m going to whoop this boy even worse than Khabib did, and then from there we can make a fight happen.” Lee said he noticed a few weaknesses in Nurmagomedov’s game in his win against Al Iaquinta at UFC 223 and plans to expose them if they fight.

Edson Barboza 'very motivated' for Kevin Lee with hopes for Khabib Nurmagomedov rematch after

“Of course, it’s very, very motivating,” Barboza told MMAjunkie in advance of his FS1-televised meeting with Lee, which headlines UFC Fight Night 128 on Saturday at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic, City, N.J. “I really, really hope to fight with this guy again, as soon as possible. I don’t know if he stays champ, but definitely I’m very motivated.”

Gleison Tibau vs. Desmond Green, Nik Lentz vs. Leonardo Santos Set for UFC Fight Night Utica

A pair of lightweight bouts have been added to the UFC Fight Night 131 bill, as Gleison Tibau will face Desmond Green , while Nik Lentz will square off against Leonardo Santos . The Las Vegas-based promotion announced the contests on Monday. UFC Fight Night 131 takes place on June 1 at Adirondack Bank Center in Utica, N.Y., and is headlined by a bantamweight tilt between Jimmie Rivera and Marlon Moraes . The card airs on Fox Sports 1 following early prelims on UFC Fight Pass. Tibau is currently on a three-bout skid, including a 57-second knockout loss to Islam Makhachev in his most recent outing at UFC 220 on Jan. 20. After beginning his Octagon tenure with a split-decision win over Josh Emmett , Green has dropped back-to-back contests to Rustam Khabilov and Michel Prazeres . Lentz last appeared at UFC Fight Night 121 this past November, where he submitted ex-Bellator champ Will Brooks with a rear-naked choke in the second round to give him three wins in his last four outings. Santos, meanwhile, is unbeaten in six UFC bouts – including a first-round stoppage of Kevin Lee – but hasn’t competed since October 2016.

UFC on FOX 29 salaries: Dustin Poirier leads payouts with $170,000 in classic slugfest

Michael Chandler’s two-year deal with Bellator is ending “very soon,” and while he’s not saying he’s going to be a free agent when that happens, “the lightweight division in the world is a very interesting one right now.”

Dana White once banned Paul Daley for doing less than what Conor McGregor is charged with

“It has definitely been a driving factor for me in my career,” Daley said of his UFC snub. “Here is this guy who was banished from the UFC still doing my thing and fans still love to see me fight. To have the longevity I’ve had, even though I was banished from the biggest promotion, is a testament to my fortitude. I put that down to wanting to prove you can still succeed in the sport if you have the talent, whether you are fired from the UFC or fired from another promotion.”

Clay Guida vs. Bobby Green added to already ridiculously stacked UFC 225 lineup

Guida, a 15-year pro who’s been with the UFC since 2006, is a former contender who slipped out of the lightweight title picture following a 3-6 skid from 2011-2016. However, the 36-year-old “Carpenter,” who’s a nine-time UFC fight-night bonus winner, has since rebounded with a decision victory over Erik Koch (which marked his return to lightweight from featherweight) and a TKO win over fellow vet Joe Lauzon .

Eddie Alvarez Refuses to Fight Poirier, Turns Down Fight Five Times - MMA Imports

“Me and Eddie were offered a rematch on that Brooklyn show that Tony and Khabib were on. And my management told me that pretty much they’re probably trying to book this fight because if they fall out, one of you are going to replace them. I accepted the fight. Eddie turned it down. This was months ago. We could have been on that card, Eddie’s ranked higher than me, he probably would have fought for the belt a couple weekends ago.”
