Carlos Condit: ‘I Still Love This Game, But Maybe My Time Has Passed’

Post choke out, where the fuck am I , WTF happened, feeling kinda warm and fuzzy , hope I didn't just piss my shorts on live TV , thousand yard stare. I've posted plenty of pictures looking like a Badass. Triumphant and powerful... But here's the flip side, crumpled and weak in defeat. Rough day at the office Fuck it though, I had fun. I trained my ass off and I came to fight. This is what leaving it all out there looked like on Saturday. Much respect to my opponent and his team. Thank you for taking the fight on short notice. Congratulations and best of luck in the future. I don't know what's next guys... I still love this game, and most days I still feel that fire, I absolutely love what it do, but maybe my time has passed. I don't know the answer. this is what I know, this is my passion. I will never stop training, and If that leads me back to the the octagon, you know I'll try to make it bloody for ya. Right now I'm looking forward to summer shenanigans with my sons and to expanding @hundredhandscoffee .

Sherdog’s Official Mixed Martial Arts Rankings - Shine On, You Crazy Diamond

Dustin Poirier has consistently proven himself to be one of the Ultimate Fighting Championship lightweight division’s most violent talents. “The Diamond” lived up to that reputation in the UFC on Fox 29 headliner in Glendale, Arizona, as he stopped former World Series of Fighting champion Justin Gaethje 33 seconds into the fourth round of a wildly entertaining slugfest. Not only did the victory propel Poirier past the offensive-minded Gaethje in our 155-pound rankings, but it sets him up nicely for a significant bout down the road. While it might not be champion Khabib Nurmagomedov as he requested in his Octagon interview, with just one defeat in his last nine outings, Poirier is at least on the outskirts of the title discussion. Elsewhere, John Moraga continued his resurgence in the flyweight division, as he dispatched fellow former title challenger Wilson Reis in a preliminary affair at UFC on Fox 29. “Chicano” John has now won three straight bouts at 125 pounds and he moves from No. 10 to No. 8 in our flyweight poll.

Report: ESPN and FOX Sports put in joint bid for UFC TV rights deal

Fox, which currently pays $120 million per year UFC rights, would be willing see that number increase to a little more than $200 million. Fox’s current package includes four Saturday-night fights per year on Fox Broadcasting and a number of fight events on cabler Fox Sports 1 that has increased annually under its current agreement. A joint bid with ESPN would see Fox’s total number of events decline slightly.

Yancy Medeiros vs. Mike Perry joins July's UFC 226 lineup

Medeiros is coming off a loss in the most high-profile fight of his career. Following a “Fight of the Year” candidate win over Alex Oliveira at UFC 218 in December, Medeiros was awarded a main-event spot against Donald Cerrone at UFC Fight Night 126 in February. The fight didn’t go his way, though, and the 30-year-old Hawaiian slugger succumbed to a first-round TKO .

A middleweight clash between Paulo Henrique Costa and Uriah Hall that was originally scheduled for UFC Fight 128 has been rebooked for UFC 226 . Costa revealed the matchup via Instagram on Wednesday. The UFC has not formally announced the pairing. UFC 226 takes place on July 7 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and is headlined by a heavyweight tilt between reigning champion Stipe Miocic and 205-pound king Daniel Cormier . “Borrachinha” pulled out of the initially scheduled bout with Hall due to a torn biceps . The 26-year-old Brazilian is 11-0 thus far in his MMA career, including a trio of triumphs under the UFC banner. Most recently, he scored a second-round TKO of Johny Hendricks at UFC 217 in November. Hall will return for the first time since a scary weight cut forced him to withdraw from a matchup with Vitor Belfort at UFC Fight Night 125 in January. Marvin Vettori plans to slap 'double-face liar' Israel Adesanya next time they cross paths

“Next time I see him – I better not see him because I’m going to after him. I don’t care who is in front of me. I’m going to slap him real hard. I don’t care. Whatever I say I’m down to back it up. I’m not a little (expletive). I don’t talk to be funny like he does. Next time I see him, it’s better that I don’t see him because it’s not going to be good for him. I don’t like the fact that he’s a double-face liar. At first he said something and he was all beat up, and then right after he goes out and talks (expletive).”

Recovered from Shoulder Surgery, Alexander Gustafsson Awaits ‘Meaningful Offer’ from UFC

Alexander Gustafsson is fully healthy and ready to return to the Octagon, but he isn’t exactly sure what his next move will be given the current state of the light heavyweight division. While rematches with Daniel Cormier or Jon Jones would seem to be the most attractive options, neither one is likely going to be available in the near future. Cormier is challenging Stipe Miocic for heavyweight gold at UFC 226 on July 7, while Jones could be looking at a four-year USADA suspension stemming from a failed drug test at UFC 214. During an appearance on the “Joe Rogan Experience” podcast, Gustafsson discussed his current situation. “I wish I had an answer to that right now, but I really don’t,” he said. “It just has to be a meaningful offer, it has to be something I feel, ‘This is right, this is what I want.’ I feel like in my position, in my career right now, every fight has to mean something. “It could be something else too, but it has to feel right. It has to be something meaningful. Something good. Everybody knows when I’m stepping up into that Octagon I’m going to perform and I’m going to make a show.

Mirko Filipovic has passed an out-of-competition drug test ahead of his Bellator 200 heavyweight fight in London against Roy Nelson . was first to report the result. Mohegan Tribe Department of Athletic Regulation director Mike Mazzulli collected the sample on April 5 in Filipovic’s native Croatia. Clay Guida vs. Bobby Green Joins Already Loaded UFC 225 Fight Card for Chicago

The UFC 225 fight card is already stacked, starting with what promises to be a top heavy main card. UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker heads the bill, putting his belt on the line for the first time in a rematch with Yoel Romero. With no drop-off in the UFC 225 co-main event, former lightweight champion Rafael Dos Anjos meets polarizing figure Colby Covington in a battle for the interim UFC welterweight title.

Kevin Lee on Edson Barboza: ‘I’m Going to Whoop This Boy Even Worse Than Khabib Did’

A world class Ultimate Fighting Championship lightweight bout takes place Saturday April 21 inside the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey, when potential title contenders Kevin Lee and Edson Barboza meet inside the Octagon. Lee is coming off a loss in October for the interim lightweight belt, where he was submitted in the third round against Tony Ferguson . The defeat ended his five-fight winning streak. Barboza last took to the cage in December against the recently-crowned lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov . “The Eagle” nullified Barboza’s striking game on that night, earning a dominant unanimous decision victory. Lee spoke to reporters at the UFC Performance Institute ahead of this weekend’s bout with Barboza (via ): “I want that Khabib fight. I’ve been calling for it for a long time. I feel like I’m going to get a better version of Edson Barboza that fought Khabib a couple months ago. I’m going to whoop this boy even worse than Khabib did, and then from there we can make a fight happen.” Lee said he noticed a few weaknesses in Nurmagomedov’s game in his win against Al Iaquinta at UFC 223 and plans to expose them if they fight.

Clay Guida vs. Bobby Green added to already ridiculously stacked UFC 225 lineup

Guida, a 15-year pro who’s been with the UFC since 2006, is a former contender who slipped out of the lightweight title picture following a 3-6 skid from 2011-2016. Matches to Make After UFC on Fox 29

It felt like Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje left pieces of themselves strewn across the Octagon. No one expected anything less. Poirier made a significant move in the Ultimate Fighting Championship lightweight division, as he put away the former World Series of Fighting titleholder with punches in the fourth round of their UFC on Fox 29 main event on Saturday at the Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizona. Gaethje succumbed to blows 33 seconds into Round 4. It was a beautifully brutal encounter. Gaethje targeted the inside of the American Top Team rep’s lead leg with repeated kicks and zeroed in on his head with clubbing power punches. Poirier returned fire, withstood his counterpart’s breakneck pace and capitalized when the opportunity to finish presented itself. The FightMetric figures were startling: Poirier and Gaethje combined to land 295 total strikes, 289 of them significant. In the aftermath of UFC on Fox 29, here are five matches that ought to be made: Related » UFC Glendale: By the Numbers Dustin Poirier vs.
