Sacramento Police to Investigate Alleged Assault by Nate Diaz at Combate Americas Event
The Sacramento Police Department is investigating whether Nate Diaz
committed assault during an
altercation with fellow UFC fighter Clay Guida
this past Friday, according to multiple reports.
The incident occurred at Combate Americas’ “Mexico vs. USA” event
at the McClellan Conference Center in McClellan Park, Calif., as a
near brawl allegedly occurred with Diaz and Guida as the main

following the incident. The melee allegedly started when Diaz

Welterweights and middleweights will be featured when Professional
Fighters League travels to Washington, D.C. for its third regular
season event on July 5.

It’s safe to say that Kelvin
Gastelum ’s move to middleweight has gone well, as “The Ultimate
Fighter 17” winner has lost just once in six appearances since
leaving the welterweight division.
His ascent continued at UFC 224 with a split-decision over Ronaldo

The promotion announced the news during the UFC 224 pay-per-view
broadcast on Saturday night. The 2018 UFC Hall of Fame induction
ceremony takes place on July 5 at the Pearl at the Palms Casino
Resort in Las Vegas and will stream on UFC Fight Pass.
“The first fight between Dan
Henderson and Shogun Rua is one of the best fights I’ve ever
seen,” UFC President Dana White said in a release. “This fight
represents everything that’s great about UFC and the sport of mixed

Ultimate Fighting Championship women’s bantamweight title was
Nunes retained the 135-pound crown with yet another one-sided
performance, as she disposed of Raquel
Pennington with punches in the fifth round of their UFC
224 main event on Saturday at Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro.
Her nose mangled by an earlier knee strike from the clinch,
Pennington succumbed to blows 2:36 into Round 5. It was as if the
Octagon had become a crime scene, lacking only the yellow tape.
Nunes was in complete control for most of the fight, slowly walking
her game but outmatched challenger into a trap from which there was

one semifinal, while Fedor

would be Mitrione’s ideal scenario for the final round.
“After I beat Bader, if Fedor is lucky enough to get by Chael, I
want to fight Fedor in Moscow,” Mitrione said during a Facebook

Mitrione and Emelianenko initially fought Bellator 180 last June.
Following a rare double knockdown in the bout’s opening moments,
Mitrione was able to beat “The Last Emperor” to his feet, sprawl on
a takedown and finish his opponent with a flurry of punches at the
1:14 mark of round one.
For now, though, “Meathead” has more pressing matters to handle in
Bader, who is coming off a 15-second knockout of Muhammed

Bellator 199 attracted a combined viewership of 605,000 to
Paramount Network and CMT, according to
ShowBuzz Daily .
The event drew 453,000 viewers to Paramount and 152,000 to CMT for
a card that was headlined by the final heavyweight grand prix
quarterfinal between Ryan Bader
Lawal . Bader won the main event at the SAP Center in San Jose,
Calif., via knockout just 15 seconds into the opening stanza.
The card also included the debut of former UFC welterweight title
challenger Jon Fitch , who
outpointed Paul Daley in
the evening’s co-main event as well as the fourth professional
appearance for bluechip prospect Aaron Pico ,
who knocked out Lee
Morrison in 70 seconds.
Still, the event represented a step down from Bellator 198, which
