Rose Namajunas: 'If I Say I'm Done, I'm Done' |

“I will say, the circumstances, you have to treat each fight a little bit differently. It being a title fight, it being like Raquel is super experienced. Sometimes, I could tell just watching her train, sometimes she doesn’t seem like the most motivated and every once in a while she gets a spark in her. So those specific circumstances, I could see how that would play out, but at the same time, for me, I’m super paranoid about just the physical aspect of everything. For me, it’s a little bit different,” added Namajunas.

MMA Would Miss Michael Bisping

Editor’s note: The views and opinions expressed below are those of the author and do not necessarily reflect the views of, its affiliates and sponsors or its parent company, Evolve Media. * * * Say what you will about Michael Bisping , but the sport of mixed martial arts would certainly lose one of its gamest fighters if his hints become reality and he decides to retire . Even when he loses, “The Count” finds a way to come back and win over fans. The 39-year-old winner of Season 3 of “The Ultimate Fighter” began his career in 2004 and enjoyed a string of victories before suffering his first loss in a split decision to Rashad Evans at UFC 78. As the sport grew in popularity, Bisping never let his setbacks interfere with his thirst to compete. Perhaps that’s why his considering retirement shakes some of us. With that said, no one wants to see fighters hang around longer than they should. Many fighters are afforded opportunities to avenge their losses, but few excel at it the way Bisping has throughout his career.

Matt Mitrione Wants Fedor Rematch in Russia for Bellator Heavyweight Grand Prix Final

Matt Mitrione has a vision of how he would like the Bellator heavyweight grand prix to unfold. “The Ultimate Fighter 10” veteran will square off against light heavyweight champion Ryan Bader in one semifinal, while Fedor Emelianenko will lock horns with Chael Sonnen in the other half of the bracket. A rematch in hostile territory would be Mitrione’s ideal scenario for the final round. “After I beat Bader, if Fedor is lucky enough to get by Chael, I want to fight Fedor in Moscow,” Mitrione said during a Facebook Live chat . “I want to fight him. I want to put hands on him. On Christmas, like ‘Rocky.’ Let’s duplicate this s--t.” Mitrione and Emelianenko initially fought Bellator 180 last June. Following a rare double knockdown in the bout’s opening moments, Mitrione was able to beat “The Last Emperor” to his feet, sprawl on a takedown and finish his opponent with a flurry of punches at the 1:14 mark of round one. For now, though, “Meathead” has more pressing matters to handle in Bader, who is coming off a 15-second knockout of Muhammed Lawal at Bellator 199.

Felice Herrig Goes Off After Learning Mackenzie Dern Just Got Top UFC Ranking - MMA Imports

I’m going to weigh in on the @ufc #strawweight rankings with at least 7.5lbs of factual perspective: 1- For the most part 1-5 are pretty accurate across all weight divisions, but after that the rankings are a crap shoot. 2- These days hype trains seem to be gifted rankings over actually having to fight to the top. 3- #McenzieDern misses weight by 7.5 pounds, which makes her closer to a #Flyweight than strawweight. She beats an unranked fighter and takes @angieoverkill well earned #15 spot when her only actual win in the ufc as a #straweight was to #Ashleyyoder. McEnzie won by a very close split decision, while Angela won unanimously. So why does Angela get bumped?? 4- Justine Kish isn’t even in the top 15, although she beat #14 #NinaAnsaroff unanimously and #11 #RandaMarkos. Justine did move up to Flyweight but so did #calderwood. So why is Calderwood even in the rankings anymore? 5- If #waterson is #7 & I’m #8 then 9,10 & 11 are all out of order… 6- I beat #Grasso unanimous decision , I beat #casey split. Waterson beats casey split decision. Casey finishes Markos, while Grasso takes her to split.
