Crooklyn's UFC 188 breakdown & FREE Kountermove fantasy tourney
Players use a $25,000 artificial salary cap to draft 5 fighters from the card before each event begins. Eachfighter has a salary designated by Kountermove -- salaries range from $3,000 to $8,000. The winners are determined based on how the fight plays out rather than simply a fight's outcome (pick'em format). Kountermove calculates a fighter's fantasy score based on the number of strikes, takedowns, submissions, dominant positions, and rounds won. Scoring data from the fights flows into the site in near real-time, so players can monitor their teams as the event happens. The data used in calculating a fighter's score is provided by UFC's official stats provider, FightMetric.

Cardio 4 Leanness (advanced)
Hi, my name is SGT Ryan Casperson, I am Active duty Army stationed at Fort Drum, NY. I've been following Pauline and her Fighter Diet concept for the better part of 2 years now. At first I was skeptical like I am about all fitness related mentors, but after following Pauline on Facebook and watching her interact with people and seeing her no bullshit attitude, as well as her attention to detail in everything she does, I knew from that she was the REAL DEAL.
I've been using Fighter Diets " Cardio 4 Leanness" ebook recently, and let me tell you, in the Army we run about 5-6 miles every other day and I can run 2 miles in14:30 minutes but none of that has broke me off as hard as this concept has.
I look forward to continuing to use her as a tool in my fitness and can't wait for more results!

Years in the Making: Alvarez vs. Melendez | FIGHTLAND
Of course, co-promoted bouts are never easy to arrange. Between broadcasting rights, contractual obligations, and branding issues, there’s a whole lot of red tape to cut through, which more often than not renders the very notion of co-promotion a pipedream. Yes, M-1, Dream and Strikeforce pulled it off and more recently Legacy FC and RFA did the same, but most of the time these things fizzle out before they can gain any momentum. That’s why WSOF’s recent callout of Bellator never amounted to anything. That’s why Chuck Liddell vs. Wanderlei Silva didn’t happen until the UFC bought Pride and both fighters were years removed from their respective primes. It’s also why Melendez vs. Alvarez didn’t happen in 2009 or 2010. Of course, that didn’t stop the pair from exchanging cross-promotional barbs, but the fight was simply never going to happen while the two were under contract with different organizations.

Cain Velasquez: Reclaiming His Championship | FIGHTLAND
At any other gym, the cardio area is taken up by the moans and whimpers of mortals wanting to extend their lives by working out their hearts. But on the treadmills of the renowned American Kickboxing Academy in San Jose, California, fighters usually run on the treadmill focused on their next fight, and in the case of Cain Velasquez, on a fight that will prolong the golden title strap’s stay in his home.

Henry Cejudo: The Competitor
Should he defeat Chico Camus at UFC 188 and stand in the center of the Octagon with Bruce Buffer bellowing his name while the crowd goes wild, be sure to focus on the Olympic gold medalist’s facial expression. Unlike most victorious fighters, you won’t see elation or relief, excitement or exuberance; you’ll see the look of a man uncomfortable with celebrating because, in his eyes, he still hasn’t accomplished anything. “I feel so weird when I win and I lift both hands up because never once in wrestling did I feel like I accomplished anything until I won at the Olympics,” Cejudo, who became the youngest American wrestler to win gold when he did so as a 21-year-old at the 2008 Games in Beijing, offers. “That was the only time where I felt, ‘Okay, I can lift my hands in victory; in the v-shape finally.’ I’ll do it because my coaches ask me to do it – I’ll lift both hands – but if you watch my facial expressions, I’m just not satisfied yet. I won’t be satisfied until I become the best in the world.

George Sullivan to Meet Marcio Alexandre Jr. at ‘TUF 21’ Finale on July 12
George Sullivan has won eight of his last nine fights. | Dave
Mandel/Sherdog.com
George
Sullivan will lock horns with Marcio
Alexandre Jr. at
"The Ultimate Fighter 21" finale on July 12.
Promotion officials recently announced the welterweight contest.
The “TUF 21” finale takes place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in
Las Vegas and is headlined by a 170-pound clash between Jake
Ellenberger and Stephen
Thompson .
Sullivan saw an eight-fight winning streak come to an end at UFC on
Fox 15 when he was submitted by Tim Means via
arm-triangle choke 3:41 into round three. The Ring of Combat and
Cage Fury Fighting Championship veteran had bested Mike Rhodes
and Igor
Araujo in his first two Octagon appearances.
A finalist on Season 3 of “TUF: Brazil,” Alexandre is still looking
for his first promotional triumph after suffering back-to-back
losses against Warlley
Alves and Means. Prior to his UFC debut, “Lyoto” was unbeaten
in 11 professional outings.

Top coach and manager says that unhappy fighters should just leave the UFC
"The UFC is a private company. It's like my gym, it's mine and no one should say anything about it. If I come up with a rule that must be followed by everybody, whoever is unhappy should say 'I don't like to work under those conditions and I'm leaving'. Cool, that's their right. But if they want to work for me, they need to accept the rule. Unfortunately, not all rules will benefit everybody," he said.

Apple Watch Is About To Become A Perfect Podcast Machine
Long-form audio only outputs to a connected Bluetooth speaker, headset or pair of headphones connected to your Apple Watch, and never to the built-in speaker. That’s a sensible decision on Apple’s part, since it’s unlikely many people would even want to listen to longer content on the Watch’s tiny speaker, and even if they did, they should be prevented from doing so in the interest of those around them. But it’s also now available without your iPhone present, which is great for runs, walks and other temporary outings where the distraction or burden of carrying a phone isn’t wanted.

Cain Velasquez Has No Plans to Alter Training Despite String of Injuries
Cain
Velasquez has been sidelined since October 2013. | Photo: Jeff
Sherwood/Sherdog.com
Cain
Velasquez will return to the Octagon for the first time in
nearly 19 months when he faces Fabricio
Werdum in a heavyweight title unification bout at UFC
188 in Mexico City.
After his most recent triumph, a lopsided thrashing of Junior dos
Santos at UFC 166, Velasquez was mentioned in the same breath
as Fedor
Emelianenko as one of the greatest heavyweights of all time.
That discussion has quietly faded into the background in recent
months, however, as the American Kickboxing Academy product dealt
with numerous injuries since that victory.
The Mexican American fighter underwent surgery for a torn labrum
suffered against dos Santos shortly thereafter, a procedure that
kept him sidelined for most of 2014. He was expected to return
against Werdum for the promotion’s maiden voyage to Mexico at UFC
180, but a torn meniscus forced him to withdraw from that contest.
Velasquez is not the only AKA member to have experienced injury
issues in recent years, which prompted UFC President Dana White to
publicly question the respected camp’s training practices .

Werdum Eager to Shock the World Again
Fabricio Werdum didn’t like it when he was told last October that he wouldn’t be fighting Cain Velasquez for the world heavyweight championship at UFC 180, but that he would instead fight Mark Hunt on that same November 2014 night for the promotion’s interim title. “At first I got scared because I wanted to fight Cain,” Werdum said. “I’d been preparing for a long time and I had spent a lot of money to be there (in Mexico City, the site of the bout) for two months. And suddenly, the opponent had changed. It was a hard decision.” Werdum went on with the bout, but after being dropped to the canvas by Hunt and taken down in the first round, it looked like all those pre-fight fears were well placed. At least until his longtime coach and friend Rafael Cordeiro got in his ear before the second round began. Cordeiro, one of the most underrated coaches in mixed martial arts, has been preparing fighters for battle for a long time. In the mind of the former Chute Boxe coach, it’s all about the fight. It’s not a sporting event or a points match; it’s about getting your opponent out of there before he does the same thing to you.
