Is the answer to UFC champ Demetrious Johnson's future at bantamweight?

That’s why an eventual move back up to bantamweight, this time in the form of a champion-vs.-champion superfight, might be inevitable for Johnson. It might also be the kind of feat that would finally earn Johnson (20-2-1 MMA, 8-1-1 UFC) the respect he deserves from fans, many of whom went streaming out of Rogers Arena midway through Saturday night’s pay-per-view main event, leaving behind a cavernous silence to greet the announcement that he was still the champ after five full rounds with Bagautinov (13-3 MMA, 3-1 UFC). (Check out the Johnson vs. Bagautinov video highlights .)

Irrefutable proof we are all being sprayed with poison: 571 tons of toxic lead 'chemtrailed' into America's skies every year

Friday, June 13, 2014by Mike Adams, the Health RangerTags: aviation fuel, toxic lead, heavy metals pollution (NaturalNews) America is being doused every minute of every day with the toxic heavy metal lead as it is burned in "avgas" -- aviation gas, the fuel that powers most piston-driven aircraft (i.e. anything with a propeller). A grand total of 571 tons of lead are dumped each year into the air over our heads from aircraft alone, according to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. (1) According to a scientific paper titled, "Lead and Halogen Contamination from Aviation Fuel Additives at Brackett Airfield," (2) X-Ray Fluorescence instrumentation was used to analyze lead, chlorine and bromine content in avgas liquids. The tests showed avgas contains the following: Lead: 48 ppm Bromine: 42.6 ppm Chlorine: 605.2 ppm Lead is a highly toxic heavy metals that causes bone diseases, brain damage and cancer. Chlorine is a highly-reactive chemical with powerful oxidative properties. The fact that both are being sprayed daily into the air above America is inexcusable. 964 tons of lead released into the air (from all sources) How much lead is being "chemtrailed" across America due to aviation fuel? According to General Aviation News (3), about 681,000 gallons of avgas were burned each day in 2013.

How To Be More Likable In 10 Easy Steps

5. Really and truly care. How do you develop the personality trait of caring? It can be difficult, especially in an age of social media, where everyone is dangerously close to being a narcissist. Caring is an act of setting aside your own interests and ambitions for a while and helping others. It requires effort. You have to consciously decide you are going to care about someone else. When you do, and you are genuine about it, you'll find that more people will like you.

Welcome to the UFC Dwyer, O'Reilly, Holohan, and Barberena

I'd by lying if I said that Holohan's striking looks natural. He does appear to have a developing arsenal of kicks and punches, but he's anything but efficient in his movement and often looks like he's open to getting hit hard in exchanges. He also doesn't appear to have much defensive wrestling, but that could come from being massively undersized as a bantamweight. At flyweight he may be able to get more done, but considering the depth of talent there, and especially of grappling talent, that seems unlikely. Eventually, he's mostly a grappler. He has a tricky guard game, with the ability to throw up triangles with quickness and regularity and the kind of prolonged scrambling ability to keep things interesting against opponents willing to engage in a hard roll on the mats.

Fortunes changed for five at UFC 174

Dana White likes to say that you can't judge a show until after it happens. The problem with that is on a pay-per-view show in particular, when spending significant money to see the show is involved, people judge whether they are going to buy it or not before. But very often, these type of shows deliver. You only have to go back to UFC 173 for a show with a main event with little star power that delivered an unexpected title change and the end of one of the most impressive streaks in MMA history. When that show was over, whether you were excited coming in for the show, there was plenty of excitement coming out.

Three months ago, a fighter named Mike Garrett — or maybe Mike Garret, with one T, although neither name shows up on the Sherdog or databases — scored a “one-second knockout” for a “world record” that we sort of called bullshit on . Garrett/Garret was back in action at Warrior Challenge 15 in London on Friday, where he KO’d Jimi Animashaun in “3.5 seconds.” (Four seconds, officially.) Watch it above and note the following:

UFC 174: Johnson vs. Bagautinov Results - Sunday Perspective

while the general sentiment seemed to be leaning toward Schaub. But there was so little clear offense in this fight it is hard to get worked up over the decision. After the fight it was very clear Schaub had taken a good amount of damage to his face, but the eye test is not a reliable way to judge a fight. Either way it was a clunker of fight that is a stark reminder that even in this seeming golden age of MMA heavyweights the drop off in that division from elite fighters to the next tier down is quite steep. Schaub is still a good fighter and athlete, but has these confusing performances from time to time where it really seems he should hold a serious edge over a fighter for a variety reasons and isn't able to capitalize, he deserved to win this fight, but he also seemed capable of putting far more of stamp on the fight than he ended up leaving.

Following a stint overseas fighting for promotions like One Fighting Championship and Dream , the 38-year-old will look to bounce back from a dislocated ankle and broken fibula suffered in a fight against Nobutatsu Suzuki at One FC 9. Baroni had been publicly campaigning for a bout against Ben Askren , but since has parted ways with the largest MMA promotion in Asia. Parisyan is coming off the first TKO finish of his career, when he brutally dispelled of Ron Keslar at Bellator 116. “The Heat” still has plenty to offer, as he will enter the fight at only 31 years of age. Joseph Valtellini's Road to the Title: Inside a Glory training camp part 2

In part two of this exclusive Bloody Elbow feature, top Glory welterweight Joseph Valtellini walks us through his training camp as he gets ready for a world title shot at the upcoming Last Man Standing PPV June 21.

Frankie Edgar: ‘I just want to get back to the title’

"It's the competitive nature of B.J. (Penn), you know. I'm a competitor myself, and I guess those wins that I have over him still sting on him, and he just wants a chance to get back at it." Edgar told  Submission Radio ."My motivation is, I just want to get back to the title. You know, in order to do that I'm gonna have to win every fight in front of me. And just the fact that I don't wanna lose the third time out. I won twice (against B.J.), for sure I don't wanna lose the third time out."

30 EA SPORTS UFC – Roster Reveal

BJ “The Prodigy” Penn has accomplished a lot over the course of a storied pro MMA career that began back at UFC 31 in May of 2001. One of the sport’s most feared fighters on the mat and one of Hawaii’s most popular athletes, Penn has competed across multiple weight classes and remains the only fighter to this day to hold titles in both the UFC’s Lightweight and Welterweight divisions. The first non-Brazilian to win a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu world-title at the black belt level, Penn earned his BJJ black belt in only three years and his nickname in the process. Not having competed since a 2012 loss to Rory MacDonald, Penn will make his return to the Octagon to complete his trilogy against Frankie Edgar following their coaching stints on Season 19 of The Ultimate Fighter.

Will Rory MacDonald get UFC title shot before Matt Brown-Robbie Lawler winner?

It puts MacDonald in a peculiar position. With newly crowned champ Johny Hendricks still recovering from a torn bicep, his fight with the Brown-Lawler winner doesn’t have an exact date. That could mean MacDonald will be waiting well into 2015 if he opts not to take another bout.

Jon Jones didn’t like the UFC's negotiating 'tactic,' but is happy with new deal

"I think it was a tactic or strategy," said Jones, the UFC light heavyweight champion. "Get the fans going against me and stuff like that. I don’t know why they would do something like this. It doesn’t help as far as me being the biggest star, supposedly. But they have their ways of negotiating and I think the fans see right through it."

Twitter erupted today with spontaneous, unsubstantiated rumors that Kimbo Slice — yes, the former King of the Web Brawlers and occasional boxer — is in the process of signing with Bellator. Until we hear anything from a reputable source, you should only treat this as wishful thinking from a bored fanbase, like those “ CM Punk to UFC ” rumors that also made our tongues wag for a week.

MFC champ Sam Alvey meets Tom Watson at UFC Fight Night 47 in Maine

Watson returns in bad need of a win after back-to-back decision losses. “Kong” was a highly regarded UFC signee in 2012, but he dropped his promotional debut by split deception to Brad Tavares. He rebounded with a knockout win over Stanislav Nedkov in his native England. But this past August, he dropped a unanimous decision to Thales Leites in Brazil, and in February he lost a split call to Nick Catone at UFC 169.

Jon Jones: UFC used 'bullying technique' trying to force Alexander Gustafsson rematch

"I just kind of identified it with being a like strong-arm technique on their part, trying to get fans pushing for a fight and prematurely announcing a fight," Jones said. "It's not that I haven't signed a contract, I hadn't even heard that date before. I thought it was unprofessional, I thought it was a bullying technique, bully style, I don't know what it was. But it is what it is."

UFC 174 Post-Mortem: Canada’s New Favorite Son

Say what you will about his style, but Rory MacDonald’s skill is undeniable. | Photo: Dave Mandel/ In a bout that would likely determine which fighter will get a welterweight title shot early next year, Canada’s Rory MacDonald thrilled the largely biased crowd with a performance he called “the best victory of his career.” His opponent, heavy-handed striker Tyron Woodley , was never able to land the often talked about one-punch knockout on the rising young protégé of Georges St. Pierre . With the loss, Woodley’s career marked dropped to 13-3, including 3-2 in the UFC. In many ways, MacDonald continues to fight beyond the guys standing across the cage from him. There are plenty of MMA fans who don’t like his style, the company’s president has been critical of him after many recent fights, and -- on this particular night -- he was likely battling the memory of losing to Carlos Condit in the exact same building four years prior. Here, the 24-year old MacDonald flipped the script and was announced as the 30-27 winner on all three judge’s scorecards, largely on the backbone of his effective punching and occasional head kicks.

Jon Jones says UFC announced fight without his agreeing was 'unprofessional, a bully tactic'

Jones talked about the motivations behind the UFC announcing a fight without his having signed on the dotted line, "Originally, I just kind of identified it as being like a strong arm technique on their part. Get fans pushing for a fight prematurely." Jones continued, "I hadn't even heard that date before...I thought it was unprofessional, a bully tactic."

The Walkmen: UFC 174 Walkout Songs

Demetrious Johnson is still the Ultimate Fighting Championship flyweight titleholder. After the UFC 174 main event on Saturday at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, he said, “I’m the king. I’ll stay the king as long as I can.” Atlanta rapper T.I.’s fourth studio album was titled “King.” Since his reign as the world’s best flyweight and UFC 125-pound champion began, Johnson has used a track off T.I’s 2012 album, “Trouble Man: Heavy Is the Head.” “Go Get It” is a nice but unspectacular walkout choice from Johnson. Since moving to a new weight class, the 27-year-old “Mighty Mouse” has gone from great bantamweight to the unchallenged flyweight ruler. Through four UFC flyweight title defenses, Johnson has seen little trouble from any man the promotion has lined up across the cage from him. The latest fighter to challenge Johnson’s throne was Dagestani flyweight Ali Bagautinov . The 29-year-old Bagautinov came into the fight on an 11-fight winning streak and stepped to the cage to a rare and unrecognizable Russian nu-metal track.
