Daniel Cormier willing to fight Alexander Gustafsson – for interim UFC belt
Cormier’s latest comments are unlikely to help Jones’ public image. After defeating Dan Henderson this past month at UFC 173, Cormier (15-0 MMA, 4-0 UFC) was told he’d likely be up next for the Jones-Gustafsson winner. However, the 35-year-old knows time isn’t on his side, and he doesn’t want to waste more time sitting on the sidelines for his shot at the belt. That’s why he said he’s willing to take another fight .
A look at Saturday's 'UFC Fight Night 42: Henderson vs. Khabilov' card
After this past weekend’s UFC doubleheader, the organization returns Saturday with “UFC Fight Night 42: Henderson vs. Khabilov.”
Trainer Greg Jackson on Jon Jones-Alexander Gustafsson rematch: 'Yeah, let's do it'
Asked if he preferred for Jones to fight Gusty or DC, Jackson demurred. "It doesn't matter, they're both so tough man," Jackson said. "They're both just animals. Whichever one comes up, the important thing is for Jon to have enough time to prepare, to be ready. If you fight a Cormier or a Gustafsson, you gotta come in on the top of your game. So as long as he puts in a full camp and is prepared and ready to rock, I believe in him 100 percent. Both of those guys are so tough, one of the other, there is going to be no easy night on that one."

UFC.com Exclusive: "The Download" w/ Dana White
Fans have been clamoring for the rematch between Jon Jones and Alexander Gustafsson ever since their epic championship bout at UFC 165 in September of 2013. Some consider that bout to be the greatest fight in company history. After news broke the night of UFC 173 that Gustafsson agreed to terms on a rematch with Jones, everybody has been waiting on the champion to sign on for the historic rematch. So what's the hold up? According to UFC president Dana White, Jones doesn't want to fight Gustafsson. In fact, the champion has said that he would rather face Daniel Cormier, who is coming off a dominant victory over legend Dan Henderson. "Just to clear up a couple things, people think we're in contract negotiations with Jon Jones - we're not. Jon Jones still has five fights left on his contract," White said Monday afternoon in an exclusive interview with UFC.com. "So what we're doing right now is trying to get him to sign the bout agreement for Gustafsson. He doesn't want to fight Gustafsson. ... Lorenzo and I have a meeting with Jones on Thursday to get him to sign the bout agreement, and he's asking to fight Cormier instead.
Morning Report: Daniel Cormier proposes interim title fight with Alexander Gustafsson if Jon Jones delays
The exit of GSP and injury to Champ Johnny Hendricks, along with fights already scheduled to determine the next contender(s), leaves a lot of good fighters out of the mix with no hope for a title shot anytime soon. This has the potential to set up a welter weight super series to determine the next challenger; I would argue now is the time to do so as the 170 pound division has never been better. Robbie Lawler and Matt Brown are already matched up, so are Tyrone Woodley and Rory McDonald, along with Hector Lombard and Dong Hyun Kim . That leaves a slew of contenders to sort out, and to give a hypothetical idea consideration, with a long list of middle of the pack contenders not scheduled to fight, the UFC should capitalize on the logjam, with the winner getting a title shot.
Joe Rogan says NSAC abolished TRT exemptions because Vitor Belfort failed drug test
Rogan was explaining the end of TRT exemptions and said, "They did it to Vitor…random drug test. And Vitor was on testosterone. That's the reason that testosterone got banned in the first place. The whole thing went down when Vitor tested positive with the Nevada State Athletic Commission, after that. Before that, they were considering him for a testosterone exemption….And because he tested positive they scrapped the whole testosterone program."

Bin Hammam was a member of FIFA's executive committee for 16 years and president of the Asian Football Confederation, but was expelled from FIFA in 2012 for financial corruption.
The Mike Dolce Show
I usually don't like writing reviews but, I was feeling guilt for not say anything about the show. I don't know Mike in person but I can guarantee to anyone that Mike knows what he talks about and, to have knowledge doesn't mean you have to be a Doctor or whatever you title you prefer to call. Mike makes all plain and simple: you are what you eat and what matters is quality of the fuel you put in your body. Doctors are legal drug dealers, they won't tell you other ways to lose weight or whatever the problem may be other then taking pills and more pills. Great work done by Mike, I ain't nobody but I totally approve and appreciate what Mike does. Thank you Mike, excellent job.

Benson Henderson on Rustam Khabilov: ‘We all know those Russians, they're very tough’
"(He's been) working on his wrestling. His wrestling, his Sambo is his background (and) he's really good at it. So he's been at (Greg) Jackson's now for a while working on improving his overall game of course. His Boxing, his kickboxing, his overall game, working on everything, and he's getting better. He's shown improvement in every fight, so me knowing that, me knowing that Jackon's camp, Greg Jackon and how good that camp is, how good all those fighters are, I know he'll be a better fighter. This'll be the best Rustam Khabilov that the UFC has ever seen. So I'm preparing for my best and my best performance so that I can go five rounds, hard, and go out there and show up and show out."

WSOF’s Ali Abdel-Aziz: With NBC extension, ‘the sky’s the limit’
After Saturday’s UFC doubleheader, which stuffed 22 fights into the confines of a single day, it doesn’t seem so far-fetched for the World Series of Fighting to have a show on July 5. That’s the same day as UFC 175 , which features title defenses by Chris Weidman and Ronda Rousey . That’s also the same weekend as the TUF 20 finale in Las Vegas, featuring a featherweight trilogy bout between Frankie Edgar and B.J. Penn . WSOF, which is venturing onto the NBC mothership for the first time after re-upping its contract with the network last week, runs the risk of being buried by the UFC hoopla. Or so the concerns go. WSOF executive vice president/matchmaker Ali Abdel-Aziz says he hears those concerns, and that’s why he’s taking measures to make sure things don’t overlap. "I think it would be not very wise to go on the same day as the UFC, but we got the date, July 5, maybe six or seven months ago," he told MMA Fighting. "We’ll go out there right before the UFC goes on Fox Sports 1 [for its UFC 175 prelims]. I wish we had a different date, but NBC, this is the first time gave us a date, and they don’t have any other dates open to give us.

“Look, if you’re gonna demand testing, you’re not a fighter. That’s all there is to it. For Dillashaw and Ludwig, 'surreal' win leads to questions about uncertain future
“I made a conscious effort to do that,” Dillashaw said. “I knew I was faster than Barao, and if I used my footwork well, I could be in and out. I felt like that was style to beat him, but it’s not the style to beat everyone. Some guys you need to move left. Some you need to come straight in. With him, I needed to get out of the way of his big strikes, and I knew they were coming. I just couldn’t stand in front of him and play the game he wants to play. He wants to slow everyone down, get them to stand in front of him and not push the pace. That’s when he goes for the big punches and finishes it. I knew my footwork had to be on point.”

Mousasi makes huge leap in latest official rankings
After dominating middleweight veteran Mark Munoz Saturday night at Fight Night Berlin, Gegard Mousasi jumped up and claimed the "Filipino Wrecking Machine's" No. 7 spot in the newest official UFC rankings that were released Monday afternoon. Mousasi entered Saturday night outside the top 10 (No. 11) to the amazement of many, including UFC president Dana White, who is a big fan of the Dutch fighter. "How about Gegard Mousasi - loses to Lyoto Machida , who was ranked number two at the time, and he drops all the way to number 10 after losing to a guy who is fighting next for the title," White said in an exclusive interview with UFC.com on May 27. "The rankings are very weird sometimes, but I'm a big Mousasi fan and I'm excited to watch him fight." > Click here for the complete official UFC rankings Mousasi said after his victory that he now is hoping to get a top contender at 185, specifically naming No. 5 Luke Rockhold and No. 6 Tim Kennedy . The former Strikeforce champion is hoping to enter the mix for a title shot later this year and into 2015 in a stacked 185-pound division.

UFC to run Fight Night card on same night, same state as Bellator 123
Before you dive straight into Lake Conspiracy Theory, it should be noted that there's virtually no room on Fox Sports 1's calendar for any UFC live programming on Saturday, September 6th. Major League Baseball and college football take up all the space for the evening, which leaves the UFC looking for other days of the week. Running a UFC card opposite NFL football on September 4th (opening night) or Sunday (week 1) is basically ratings suicide, so they were never going to run an event on the weekend of September 6th.

Valerie Letourneau replaces Germaine de Randamie at UFC 174
Letourneau, 31, is based out of Montreal and makes her UFC debut on the strength of a recent 4-1 run. Although she went 1-2 to start her career, the losses came to notables Alexis Davis and Sarah Kaufman. Most recently, Letourneau earned a 34-second TKO of MMA newcomer Jordan Moore at a May 16 Absolute Fighting Championship event in Florida. She has five stoppages in five career wins.
Spike TV to debut 'Gym Rescue' with hosts Randy Couture, Frank Shamrock
From traditional gyms to military-style boot-camps to yoga studios, Couture and Shamrock will do whatever it takes to whip the failing gyms into shape. From re-defining the gym’s identity, to renovating the outdated workout equipment to revising their marketing strategies, no problem is too big for this team of heavyweights. The hosts will also confront the gym owners with their assessment and plan of attack. No detail will go unnoticed as they scour the facility’s procedures from top to bottom. At the end of every episode, the new gym is revealed and it’s determined if the once failing gym has become a winning success.
Explains lawyer Rob Maysey , “HDNet on behalf of Couture, believing that Couture had satisfied his promotional obligations under his contract with Zuffa by waiting for the term to expire, filed suit in Texas to obtain a declaratory ruling that its promotional agreement with Couture was valid and that the Zuffa promotional agreement with Couture was no longer in force. In response, Zuffa filed for a motion to stay the HDNet litigation and compel arbitration in Nevada. The stay was granted, and the dispute regarding the enforceability of Couture’s promotional agreement was pushed into arbitration then pending in Nevada.”

Chael Sonnen could one day run the UFC, president Dana White says
“The guy never turns down a fight; he never says no,” White said. “Doesn’t matter who it is. I could call him tomorrow and tell him he’s fighting Cain (Velasquez), and he’ll take the fight. The staff member was certainly not joking when he referred to the penalty box, as I quickly realized that the section allocated for media members was actually the penalty box in an ice hockey rink. No attempt had been made to mask the lack of care that the promotion showed the media, as nothing was present inside the box expect for a single bench that could barely seat half the press. Luckily, it seemed as though most had anticipated this sort of difficulty, and came with minimal equipment. Some chose to live tweet with their phones, while other simply enjoyed the show and awaited opportunities to conduct post-fight interviews. While there was WiFi in the arena, none of the staff members we asked had any idea what the password was. Those who wished to remain in contact with the outside world needed to use 3G connections on their smartphones instead.
