Jon Fitch Calls Rousimar Palhares 'Unprofessional,' Says The Champion Should Have 'Manned Up' | MMAWeekly.com
“We all have problems. My dad’s sick too. He’s going to have a heart procedure the week of the fight,” said Fitch. “This is a big fight on NBC. He’s the titleholder. You have a responsibility as a titleholder to defend your damn title. It’s unprofessional. I hope his mom is well. I wish him the best and I’ll pray for him, but you do your job. We’re professionals. You do your job.”

In a middleweight matchup, Quintin Henry (8-2) and Nicholas Jackson (2-1) went back-and-forth in an entertaining scrap, though it was Henry who got the best of the early exchanges. Johny Hendricks pitches superfight with Chris Weidman in the future, Dana White dismissive of the idea
"I don't know about three or four fights," he told Hendricks. "You are in a very nasty division packed with talent from No. 1 to No. 13. You have a lot of housework to do before you clean out the division and talk about Chris Weidman.
Dana White comments on Scott Coker as Bellator CEO: 'A much better fit than Bjork was'
On Scott Coker replacing Bjorn Rebney as Bellator CEO, White was fairly complimentary of the former CEO head and took one last shot at Rebney. "It's a much better fit than Bjorn was," White claimed after pointing out that he knows both Coker and the men in charge at Spike TV.
Dana White talks Scott Coker to Bellator, Aldo's pay, PED's and Hendricks vs. Weidman
After UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo recent complained about what he was earning, UFC President Dana White said that his champions are really like business partners and part of the onus is on the ones unhappy with their pay to promote their fights harder. "Everyone needs to make more money," said White when asked about Aldo's pay by Bas Rutten on Friday night's Inside MMA television show. "A guy like Jose Aldo, he's the pound-for-pound best fighter in the world for two rounds, and then he starts to slide off. Here's the reality. Our champions are our pay-per-view partners. How many pay-per-views you sell, how much you sell, you get a piece of the action." White said that the lighter weight champions as a general rule don't make as much as the heavier weight champions because people aren't buying the shows they headline as much. In UFC history, with the exception of B.J. Penn , no fighter under 170 pounds has been a top tier drawing card on pay-per-view, although Urijah Faber was a strong television ratings draw in his WEC championship days. "Yeah, they don't sell as much as the bigger guys and a guy like Jose Aldo has the talent and the ability to be a big star.

Palhares unfazed by Fitch's barb: 'I expect runners-up to try and make noise'
“Each person treats his parents the way he thinks he should,” Palhares said. “In my world, a mother takes priority. Maybe in Jon’s world, it’s different – who knows? Truth is, I would not be able to focus on an important fight while my mother, who made a life of sacrifice for me and my 12 brothers, had to go through a difficult and life-threatening surgery.

Louis Gaudinot fails drug test for diuretic, has last win overturned
The diuretic in question was apparently hydrochlorothiazide, usually used to "flush" the body of fluids. Just the thing for a fighter trying to make weight. It was initially reported that Gaudinot would be suspended 9 months for the failed test, but recent reports have come down to 6. YourMMA was able to confirm however, that the failed test was instrumental in Harris' reinstatement to the UFC as he was no longer coming off a loss. Harris is now slated to meet Neil Seery at the UFC's upcoming event in Dublin.
