Opinion: Time for Deontay Wilder to Take the Next Big Step
Deontay Wilder is 34-0 with 33 knockouts. | Photo: Stephanie
Trapp/Showtime
There’s a distinct void in boxing now that Floyd Mayweather
Jr. is gone. Love him or loathe him, he was an attraction, but
his in-ring ability left a lot to be desired for those who like
their fights filled with action. Deontay Wilder has the opportunity to fill that void
in ways Mayweather never, ever could.
The 6-foot-7, 220-pound WBC champion has a wicked knockout rate --
he’s 34-0 with 33 KOs -- and an engaging personality that is almost
as big as his punching power. He won the bronze medal at the 2008
Olympics and has left a trail of bodies in his wake since turning
pro on November 15, 2008. “The Bronze Bomber” has all the makings
of a superstar, yet the general public has no idea who he is.
Something is wrong with that.
Wilder on Saturday will defend his heavyweight title against
Johann Duhaupas in his hometown of Birmingham,
Ala. The fight will be broadcast on NBC, as Wilder will be the
first heavyweight champion to fight on primetime television since
before he was born in 1985.

The Hall hype has cooled.
Middleweights
Gegard
Mousasi (37-5-2, 4-2 UFC) vs Uriah Hall
(12-5, 4-3 UFC) THE MATCHUP: When he failed to
take gold in the “The Ultimate Fighter 17” final, Hall experienced
a fall from grace every bit as quick as his rise. Overnight, Hall
went from blue-chipper to bust. In the years since, however, the
former Ring of
Combat champion has quietly begun putting things back together,
perhaps in part because of the decreased pressure to perform.
Hall has toned down and smoothed out his strike selection since his
loss to Kelvin
Gastelum , focusing more on straight, powerful punches and
economical front kicks. This makes his selection of spinning kicks
all the more dangerous, and Hall remains one of the few fighters in
MMA who uses those spins the way they are taught in arts like
taekwondo and Kyokushin karate: as devastating counters.

Lyoto Machida wants to fight Michael Bisping in early 2016
Bisping (27-7) is coming off a split decision win over Thales Leites in the UFC Glasgow main event in July. His previous appearance this year was a unanimous decision nod over C.B. Dollaway at UFC 186. With the UFC planning a return to London for the end of February 2016, this definitely could work as a main event, and would be a good measuring stick to determine how far Machida has fallen off and/or if Bisping can get a big win to put him "in the mix" for that elusive title shot.

And what a perfect way to conclude the social media portion of the card with another of Russia's finest in Saadulaev taking on Kichukov. The 30-year-old nicknamed "Maestro" is working on another run at ONE gold and is 4-1 with a no-contest over his last six. Fans are divided in their support especially when it comes to this bout as Saadulaev continues to be a fan-favourite after five bouts in the ONE Championship cage whilst Kichukov, who won 12 of his first 13 pro bouts, also enjoys a huge following and will be fighting for the first time with ONE.

Our coffee owes its delicious flavor to the meeting of the northern winds from the Atlantic Ocean with the moist Caribbean Sea, brushing our beans with a uniqueness found only in the Dominican Republic. Jarabacoa's cool high-altitude climate, kissed by the high mountain sun and sheltered by an eternal summer shade give our coffee beans their healthy oils and rich, nutty flavor.

The Savage Truth: A Pair Of Troubling Tests
Did
the UFC knowingly allow a juiced-up fighter to compete at UFC 152?
Please share your thoughts below. | Al Bello/Getty
Sept. 22, 2012 was a night that saw
Ultimate Fighting Championship light heavyweight champion
Jon
Jones overcome an early submission attempt by Vitor
Belfort to secure his fourth defense of his title at UFC
152 . Almost three years to the day after that eventful evening
in Toronto,
Deadspin.com ran a story by Josh Gross stating that the
promotion was receiving test results from an anti-aging clinic in
Las Vegas that detailed irregular results from Belfort in the weeks
leading up to the bout.
The allegations that Jones was unaware of the promotion having
knowledge that his opponent, a fighter twice nabbed in regulatory
dragnets with performance-enhancing drugs in his system, was likely
using testosterone and allowed the fight to go on as scheduled
should be a shocking detail. Unfortunately, as we have witnessed
time and again in this sport, the crazy, wacky and unfathomable
seem to happen with disappointing regularity.

J’Leon Love to Face Osumana Adama on PBC on FS1 Card Sept. 29
Las Vegas local J’Leon Love won’t have to travel far for his next
bout, as he’ll be locking horns with Osumana Adama just a few miles
from where he trains. The Love-Adama fight will be a featured bout
on the next Premier Boxing Champions’ Toe-Toe-Toe Tuesdays card on
Fox Sports 1 on Sept. 29, which will be held inside the Pearl at
the Palms Casino Resort.
Love (20-1, 11 KOs) has won two straight since his shocking
third-round knockout loss to Rogelio Medina last August. Scott
Sigmon and Jason Escalera have both fallen victim to the Michigan
native, who has looked like the stellar super middleweight
contender he was before Median got him.
Adama (22-4, 16 KOs) is another in the long line of Ghanaian
boxers. He twice fought for a piece of the world middleweight
title, but he fell short in 2012 to Daniel Geale for the IBF
version and then in 2014 for the WBA strap to Gennady Golovkin.
He’s rebounded since the loss to “GGG” with a stoppage win over
David Okai in February.
In the co-featured bout, undefeated junior middleweights Domonique
Dolton and Oscar Molina will square off in an intriguing showdown.

MMA Rumor Mill: Fedor Breaking the Bank, Shooting Down UFC for Pride 2.0
I can not wait for people to praise him for doing it. Especially those that blasted Rousey for an idea to fight Carano, since it would be “picking easy money and easy opponent”. Fedor just did the same and he will be praised like a god for it. He did big deal out of his “return” and he decided to go and be pro-wrestler in japan again. More reasons to not care about someone like that. If you make big deal out of coming back, at least make it big and for once show you have balls to compete in real life, instead of place that will pay your opponents to take a dive without saying you a single word about it.

Fight Night Japan 2015 Fantasy Preview
The UFC returns to the Land of the Rising Sun this weekend with a card from Japan featuring a ton of local talent, as well as a heavyweight showdown years in the making when Josh Barnett faces off with Roy Nelson in a throwback fight between two competitors who have been at the top of the game for the past decade. Barnett was a stalwart of the Japanese fight scene during his days as part of the PRIDE roster, so he'll feel like he's going home again as he heads back to the scene of many of his biggest career victories. Nelson will hope for a better result in his second trip to Japan after suffering a knockout loss to Mark Hunt in his last fight in Saitama Super Arena, and he’s going to try to stop the bleeding on a recent two-fight skid. Also in action this weekend, top 10-ranked middleweight Gegard Mousasi will look to tack another win on his record as he faces former Ultimate Fighter finalist Uriah Hall . Both fighters are coming off victories and this might be a chance for Hall to finally make a huge statement in the middleweight division.

During and after the fight Conor really laid into Sascha about his performance. I think Conor went too far with what he was saying to Sascha. Broner-Allakhverdiev Undercard Fills Out With Unbeaten Prospects
With the main card of the Showtime-televised event anchored by
Adrien Broner’s duel with Khabib Allakhverdiev on Oct. 3 set in
stone, the network revealed its preliminary card on Thursday. A
pair of undefeated prospects will be featured in separate bouts,
which will be televised on Sho Extreme starting at 8 p.m. ET/ 5

Those who arrive early to the U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati will be
able to watch Robert Easter Jr. and Jamel Herring attempt to take
the next step in their respective careers.
Easter Jr. (15-0, 12 KOs) will face off against former world
champion Miguel Acosta in a 10-round lightweight fight. Easter has
already been featured on several big fight cards in Las Vegas and
has done well each time out. He’s scored three consecutive
knockouts, though his opposition had lost a combined eight of their
last 10 bouts.
Acosta (29-8-2, 23 KOs) captured the WBA lightweight title in 2010
when he knocked out Paulus Moses in the sixth, but he lost it the
following year when Brandon Rios stopped him in the 10th.

'TUF 22' Recap: Episode 3
Following the terse match between Ryan Hall and
Frantz
Slioa last week, it’s all smiles and confidence in the Team
Europe camp, even though they’ve lost the opening match of the
season.
Episode 3 begins with captain Conor
McGregor speaking about his methods of coaching, and he reveals
that he has his guys training twice a day: once in the morning and
once at night.
But the catch is that McGregor only pops his head into the gym at
night. Though he doesn’t give a detailed explanation as to why, he
said that his assistants work with the reality show’s contestants
on basic drills and conditioning in the morning, while the interim
UFC featherweight champ heads the more grueling, technique-laden
nightly routines.
Since Team Europe will be gearing up for Germany’s Sascha
Sharma to fight next, McGregor breaks down his opponent,
Chris
Gruetzemacher , and he isn’t worried in the least. Sharma,
meanwhile, is enthused and admits that he absolutely loves his
teammates and working under McGregor’s tutelage.
The scene shifts into the house where Gruetzemacher, who is of
Chilean descent, chronicles how his grandfather was held prisoner
and tortured for years under Augusto Pinochet’s ruthless
dictatorship.

UFC mailbag: UFC Japan, the next heavyweight title shot and 5 must-watch fights
Nelson probably would have been best served to drop down to light heavyweight at some point during his career, but as he closes in on 40 years of age, that time has probably already passed. Nelson has still managed to put on some of the most entertaining fights in the division, knock out fighters who looked like fitness models and earned the most post-fight bonuses in UFC heavyweight history (six). For a guy that's supposedly out of shape, he's still carrying his weight inside the Octagon.

Belfort was tested on Sept. 1, according to the paperwork included in the Deadspin report . That’s a little more than a week after UFC officials announced they were canceling UFC 151, and eight days after Belfort vs. Jones was announced as the main event of UFC 152. We can assume UFC executives had the lab report within a couple days, because on Sept. 4 it was mistakenly emailed around to a “seemingly random list of longtime MMA operators,” according to Deadspin.

Tips to build a better butt
The Side Lunge Stand with your feet facing forward, left leg straight and right knee raised, bent at a right angle, right toe pointing down to touch your left knee. Holding your stomach in, raise your hands above your head and interlock your fingers. Take a wide step out to the right with your right foot, keeping your left leg straight and left foot flat on the floor. Stick your butt out, leaning your weight into your right leg, and bring your clasped hands down on to your right knee (when you are in a squat position, keep your knee aligned behind your toes). Hold for a count of four. Push off your right foot and move back to the centre, lifting your right knee and swinging your arms back over your head. Repeat 5 to 20 times, and switch sides. DOLCE LIFESTYLE: 10 Foods to Amp Up Your Metabolism | The Dolce Diet
Our bodies digest different types of foods at different rates. And it has to work a touch harder to break down some foods more than others. For example, your body has to work harder to digest a crunchy apple than a moist donut. The body is physically working harder to do so. So here is a list of foods that are great for your metabolism! Take note of the textures of some of these foods along with the nutrients they provide.
