On Sunday, Irish tabloid The Sunday World reported that UFC
lightweight champion Conor
McGregor was all-but-official to face archrival Nate Diaz at

The report was quickly picked up by several publications in Ireland

the Diaz-McGregor rubber match is anything but official.
“Not true AT ALL,” White responded on Sunday evening when asked by

According to the initial Sunday World report, McGregor had informed

While McGregor's star power and visibility grew in 2017 courtesy of
his “Money Fight” boxing match with Floyd
Mayweather in August, which he lost via tenth-round TKO

the UFC to a massive pay-per-view windfall.

Ultimate Fighting Championship lightweights are getting the
Madison Square Garden treatment.
UFC 217 , set for Nov. 4 at MSG in New York City, will feature a

and Irishman Joseph
Duffy . The UFC confirmed and announced the lightweight contest
The 29-year-old Duffy may still be best known for the fact that he
submitted UFC lightweight kingpin and MMA superstar Conor
McGregor in November 2010, but “Irish Joe” has put together a
4-1 mark in his UFC tenure, most recently topping Reza Madadi
via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 107 back in March. The
Donegal native also holds Octagon wins over Jake
Lindsey , Ivan Jorge and
Clarke , his lone loss in his UFC run coming via decision to
Poirier in January 2016.
Since his stint on “The Ultimate Fighter 15,” Vick has gone 7-1
under UFC employ, with his sole defeat coming to top-10 lightweight
Dariush via first-round knockout in June 2016. “The
Texecutioner” has since rebounded, taking back-to-back stoppage
wins over Abel

Reyes in less than three minutes this past May.

Souwer, 34, is not just a four-time Shoot Boxing S-Cup World

addition to his two runner-up finishes in the K-1 Max GP. One of
the most achieved and celebrated Dutch kickfighters in history,
Souwer has began an MMA career while continuing to compete in the

5 Things You Might Not Know About ‘Kimbo Slice’
Ferguson carved out a niche all his own in mixed martial arts.
You know him as “Kimbo Slice.”
His career born out of a series of high-traffic YouTube videos that
featured his unsanctioned bareknuckle brawls in Miami boatyards,
Ferguson fought eight times -- 10 if you count exhibition bouts
against Ray Mercer
Nelson -- in MMA, appeared on Season 10 of “The Ultimate
Fighter” reality series and exposed a whole new audience to the
sport. He threw out his anchor at
American Top Team , endearing himself to former
World Extreme Cagefighting champion turned trainer Mike Thomas
Brown . The Bahamian-born heavyweight died in June 2016 at the
age 42, leaving behind a legacy that was hard to quantify but no
less compelling. Ferguson compiled a 5-2 record with one
no-contest, his wins over Bo Cantrell ,
Abbott , James
Thompson , Houston
Alexander and Ken Shamrock
offset by losses to Seth
Petruzelli and Matt
Here are five things you might not know about “Kimbo Slice,” a
larger-than-life character who was nothing if not remarkable:
